Assist in translating customer requests into design solutions, participate in feasibility reviews, and ensure value engineering aligns with budget requirements
Technical Documentation: Prepare system layouts, general arrangement drawings, site installation packs, and detailed design specifications
Equipment & Compliance: Review equipment design for standardisation, assess throughputs and capacities, and ensure compliance with legislation and CE norms
Procurement & Risk Management: Support RFQ preparation, review supplier responses, and contribute to design risk assessments
Project Support & Collaboration: Participate in design and project review meetings, survey sites, and manage project documentation, including H&S files
Continuous Improvement: Identify cost-saving and value-added opportunities, support technical sales, and collaborate across departments to enhance efficiency
Training:Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3.
Your first year will be full‑time at college with return‑to‑industry weeks. Training:Upon successful completion of your Installation and Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship you will be awarded AMS2 certification which will enable you to apply for a ECS Gold Card.
The Installation Electrician ECS gold card is for Level 3 competency based (NVQ) skilled individuals who work unsupervised on the installation, commissioning and maintenance of low voltage electrical and electronic equipment and appliances in a consumer's electrical installation.
The gold card shows that the cardholder has completed a formal industry regulated competency based qualification, which includes technical theory with practical and competency assessments.
Alongside your 4 day week working onsite with D&P electricians, the successful candidate will study part time for one day a week at West Herts College (Hemel Campus).
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.Training Outcome:

This is a learning role where you will gain skills in all areas of the business including:
Office Administration and reception duties, accounts, finance and credit control as well as practice administration and marketing
50% of the role will be general administration:
Maintaining the printing folder
Printing of briefs and instructions if needed and appropriate
Periodically checking court lists
Take incoming telephone calls and distribute calls accordingly
Organising of e-bundles if needed and appropriate
Taking documents to court as and when required
Supporting the organising of conferences and meeting rooms
