Our Mechanical, Electrical and Trim Technicians work methodically to return customer vehicles to factory standards, diagnosing and fixing faults and distributing work as required to other specialists. Due to the high level of technology within our vehicles, you will develop skills in mechanics and electrics. While the type of work carried out will vary according to location, some of the typical day-to-day duties include: Removing and fitting basic mechanical, electrical and trim components Removing and refitting non-structural body panels Removing, renewing, and refitting mechanical and electrical systems and vehicle trims following accident damage Carrying our vehicle inspections Identifying the extent of vehicle damage Accessing and removing damaged components Installing new components Using specialist equipment and techniques including welding and soldering to undertake repairs An ideal MET Technician apprentice will be able to work methodically, have attention to detail and be a team player. Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the Volkswagen Group National Learning Centre, in Milton Keynes, to complete their apprenticeship training. All training-related costs are fully covered as part of the programme, including travel, accommodation, and meals. In the workplace, your personal, dedicated mentor will support your continued learning as you apply the skills and knowledge you have gained through the remote sessions and at the Volkswagen Group National Learning Centre. This is a fully rounded training experience where you will build life skills that last and gain both apprenticeship qualifications and brand certifications. We are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00am-6.00pm; We also offer the 7.30 option at the request of parents/carers the early bird service. Both Nurseries are each organised by age groups to ensure children are provided with resources, routines according to their age and stage of development.The Nursery is set within a large purpose built nurseries on the which offers a homely and spacious environment for the children to play and learn. Each room is light, airy and stunning. The building is fully air conditioned; this offers our children and comfortable and pleasant environment.
