On a normal working day:
You will complete business support tasks, such as managing email inboxes and responding to emails, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, answering phone calls and attending meetings.

In addition to completing your college-based studies, you will be developing core job skills through a combination of on-site learning (under the tutelage of a mentor) and completion of activity-specific training modules off-site at our offices in Lathom with our Training Manager.
The skills you'd develop and activities you'd undertake would include:
Reading construction drawings
Manipulating drawings to extract relevant data
Transferring data to the total station controller for setting-out purposes
Understand how to set out the lines & level of various features, predominantly groundworks aspects such as piles, foundations, drainage
Understand how, when, and why to use various pieces of equipment, including total stations, GPS systems, automatic levels, laser levels and tape measure & string line
Completing quality assurance checks
Conducting basic surveys such as for original ground levels or slab levels
Additionally, as you will be working on busy construction sites with ever-changing risk profiles, you will be responsible for keeping yourself and those around you safe by wearing the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, keeping to designated walkways and making sure Plan Operators and others are aware of your presence.
Upon commencement, you will join one of our experienced Site Engineers, shadowing them to gain an understanding of their role and responsibilities before being tasked with completing your own activities. Throughout the course of the apprenticeship, however, you will work with different mentors on different sites throughout the North West (for example, in Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool, Burnley, or Chester), exposing you to alternative approaches and techniques as well as a wider variety of construction processes and activities, accelerating your learning and development.

Help manage IT assets, including inventory, health checks and lifecycle planning
Learn to create and monitor Key Performance Indicators for system performance, availability, and reliability
Developing Consultancy Skills:
Build strong working relationships with production, engineering, and external suppliers
Understand business needs and help translate them into IT requirements
Participate in meetings to explain technical issues in a clear and simple way
Support communication and awareness of new IT tools, solutions, and services across the site
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
Assist with issue resolution for factory IT systems and escalate problems when needed
Work with Engineering and Maintenance teams to update procedures and drive improvements
Contribute ideas for digital and automation enhancements within the factory environment
Technical Skills You Will Develop:
Server and virtual infrastructure administration
Network fundamentals (e.g., Cisco architectures)
Database concepts and SQL
IT/Organisation Technology security principles
Cloud and enterprise systems awareness
Data handling, reporting and advanced Excel/VBA
Understanding automation layers in manufacturing
Maintain and troubleshoot factory IT infrastructure across automation levels

The apprenticeship requires you to attend a fully funded residential over the course of the apprenticeship programme. Subject to change, the timetable is as follows:

As part of our workshop team, you'll be involved in everything from assembling and wiring electrical components to testing systems and learning how to spot faults before they become problems. You'll get to grips with a variety of hand and power tools and build your understanding of how different systems work.
Every day brings something new. You could be based in the workshop assembling and wiring components or supporting the testing and inspection of equipment before it’s delivered to our customers. As your experience grows, there may also be opportunities to visit customer sites and see how the systems you’ve helped build are used in real-world environments.
Throughout your apprenticeship, safety will be central to everything you do. You’ll learn how to apply best practice manufacturing and testing techniques while being guided and supported by colleagues who want to see you succeed.

This apprenticeship is a perfect match for someone without any accountancy or bookkeeping knowledge. On this programme they will learn the building blocks of the modern accountant. Not only will they grasp the fundamentals of bookkeeping, but we will help them develop those vital skills and behaviours to enable them to put their knowledge into action. If you’re new to accountancy and finance, looking to change your career into accountancy or have previously worked in an accounts department, this level is ideal for you.
You don’t need any prior experience working in accounts to study for the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. There are no entry requirements, but you do need good maths, IT and English skills, and a willingness to learn. You’ll learn a broad range of core accounting skills, including double-entry bookkeeping and basic costing, as well as accountancy-related business skills and personal skills.
You must successfully complete the following:
Introduction to Bookkeeping (ITBK).
Principles of Bookkeeping Control (POBC).
Principles of Costing (PCTN).
Business Environment (BESY).
You will also be required to complete an End Point Assessment (EPA), which will include a synoptic assessment and interview with a supporting portfolio.
Training will be provided by attending either face-to-face classroom-based lessons or Live Online. As an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy while gaining hands-on experience and industry knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service & Support
Assisting customers with general enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
Advising patients on over-the-counter medications under pharmacist supervision.
Processing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
Handling transactions, including cash and card payments.
Dispensing & Stock Management
Preparing and labelling medications in accordance with regulations.
Assisting pharmacists with dispensing prescription medicines.
