As a Machinist Apprentice at Burtech Precision, you will work alongside experienced machinists and engineers, developing your practical skills while working towards your apprenticeship. You will gain experience using a range of CNC and conventional machinery and work on a variety of precision engineering projects.
Your duties will include:
Learning how to set and operate a range of CNC and conventional machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines and drilling equipment
Measuring and checking materials and finished components using a range of precision measuring equipment to ensure they meet the required specifications and tolerances
Learning how to select appropriate tools, materials, speeds and feeds for different machining operations
Assisting experienced machinists with the production of bespoke and precision-engineered components for a range of industries
