Workforce and Development Assistant
Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Workforce and Development Assistant in Hackney.
The Workforce and Development Assistant will provide high quality administrative support related to the staff and foster carer training programmes within Hackney Children & Families Service (CFS).
Pay rate - £16.21 per hour / £20.02 ltd (umbrella)
Main Responsibilities
As a Workforce and Development Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Coordinate and deliver support for training events, seminars, forums and support any meetings required by a project.
Support the ongoing development of an effective and flexible workforce and practice development programme for all Children and Families Service staff and foster carers.
Maintain and review published information about workforce development opportunities and training ensuring that this information is always accurate and up to date, and creating new communication literature where necessary.
Coordinate payments related to the training budget and other associated budgets including ASYE (Assisted and Supported Year in Employment) and student related finance, and maintain clear budget tracking records.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS
Experience in a similar role
A basic knowledge of services for children and young people.

Shadowing qualified Kia Technicians in the workshop to understand and learn how to carefully service and diagnose repair/faults for customer vehicles Training:The Kia Apprenticeship Programme operates using a 12-week cycle. Within each 12-week period, Apprentices will receive the following teaching learning and assessment:
• One college block attendance with teaching delivered by dedicated Tutors (both via Virtual Classroom Training and face to face at the Kia Academy in Derby)
• One workplace visit face to face with their dedicated Skills Coach
• One tripartite progress review involving the Apprentice, Skills Coach and their workplace mentor
• One 1:1 teaching session with their dedicated Skills Coach via virtual classroom

The successful candidate would get involved with most aspects of the farm, the main duties being:
The day to day running of a high welfare, straw based pig wean to finish unit
Seasonal work to include help with the farms arable cropping of maize, wheat and barley
Crop walking with the agronomist
Help implement the farms recent new Mid Tier Countryside Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive applications including growing cover crops, herbal leys and winter bird food
Help with capital items approved from the Countryside Stewardship including fencing, new gates, water pipes, drinking troughs and other items to improve the farm
Maintenance of farm machinery including tractors, combine and forage harvesters
Help with a small but expanding beef unit to utilise herbal leys
Option to run a store lamb enterprise if the candidate wishes
Training:
You will be working towards a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship Standard
You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor
You will be required to attend Bicton on 2 days on alternate weeks basis as part of the apprenticeship training
Mandatory qualifications included in this apprenticeship are:
Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, which is a minimum of 1-day course (Ofqual regulated)
City & Guilds Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Guidance or Lantra Safe use of Pesticides

The farm would like to train to keep the right candidate and support them through Level 3 Livestock Unit Technician apprenticeship if this is their choice
