As a Material Technician Apprentice at Eurotest, you’ll be involved in different tasks as no two days are the same with us. You’ll be working in a laboratory but not as you know it! On a day-to-day basis as an apprentice, you will be doing the following:
Handle inbound customer care requests, providing accurate product and service information.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with both colleagues and high-end clients.

Training:All aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with your employer. As an apprentice you will receive from your employer 6 hours each week for your off the job training, this included as part of your working weekly hours. Off the job training is there to help with your learning and development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours as part of your apprenticeship standard. Majority of these 6 hours will be spent on site with your mentor learning, along with having time set aside away from your normal day to day working environment for you to complete study time in which will help you with the completion of targets set by your assessor (e.g. workbooks, online learning, research, self-study). You will also have regular site visits every ten to twelve weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship program. Training Outcome:

The opportunity is to provide support to the planning team, primarily researching planning policies, planning histories and other planning applications, as well as looking at site reviews and appraisals for clients. This research will be written up into reports to form the basis of advice to clients and the content of planning applications. As the apprentice develops, there will be opportunities to attend meetings with clients and local authorities and to prepare and submit minor planning applications.
The long term potential is for that individual to become a Chartered Town Planner themselves, having developed their skills working within a market leading team. To give the successful candidate a wide scope of experience, their 15 month apprenticeship will be split across two teams within the marketing department. They will spend the first half of their apprenticeship within a client facing team, where they will get to understand that particular sector and how we plan and deliver marketing initiatives to achieve their business objectives.
The second half of the apprenticeship will be sat in a specialist team within our centres of excellence model. These teams’ support campaigns across the whole business, delivering in-house capabilities across brand, content, design, digital marketing and social media.
