Quality Inspector Salary: £17£18 per hour (night shift premium included)
An established precision engineering company in Eastleigh is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent night shift. This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a background in inspection to step into a stable, long-term role with plenty of support and training.
The Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will be:
- Carrying out in-process and patrol inspection of machined components
- Measuring parts using micrometres, verniers, and other standard hand tools
- Learning to operate a CMM and additional metrology equipment on site
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout production
- Accurately recording inspection results and reporting any deviations
- Working closely with machinists and production staff to resolve issues
- Maintaining a clean and organised inspection area
Shift Pattern:
- Nights
- Premium included in the advertised rate
What Were Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Quality Inspector in an engineering or manufacturing setting
- Confident with hand-held measuring tools
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- Willingness to learn and develop CMM skills
- A proactive approach to maintaining high quality standards
