Key Responsibilities include:

Load assessment on lintels using ‘BS5977-1: Method for assessment of load’ based on Architect’s and Structural Engineer’s drawings.
Specify standard products, and custom-made items designed specifically for relevant projects.

Prepare lintel calculations at the customer’s request to satisfy building control authority.

Collate information and prepare clear and structured technical reports on findings from site.

We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, family-owned business for an Agricultural Service Engineer to join their Luton branch. This is a field and workshop-based role working on a premium range of agricultural machinery within a busy and well-supported service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain agricultural machinery
- Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer specifications to ensure reliability and safety
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and mechanical faults
- Use diagnostic software via laptop (training provided)
- Complete detailed service reports including photos, timesheets and documentation
- Identify additional repair opportunities and support service upselling where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and machine condition
- Carry out welding and fabrication when required
- Liaise with service departments and support operational planning
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working with agricultural, plant or commercial vehicle machinery
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Welding and fabrication skills desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
