Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the transport office team
Answer and manage incoming calls and emails in a professional manner
Assist with scheduling, route planning, and transport documentation
Maintain accurate records, files, and databases
Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and office paperwork
Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal staff to ensure smooth operations
Support compliance tasks such as checking paperwork and ensuring procedures are followed
General office duties such as scanning, filing, and data entry
What We’re Looking For:

Good communication skills - both written and verbal
Competent IT skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook)

Training:
In addition to gaining practical experience in the role, you will also attain an NVQ Level 3 Business Admin qualification which will help start your career and give you an insight into the businesses processes and procedures
Our training is all completed remotely via teams with a development coach who will be available for support 24/7 and will arrange weekly/fortnightly meetings with you
You receive 20% off-the-job training during this apprenticeship which is included in your weekly working hours
Training Outcome:Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for permanent employment within the business and career development in administration, transport planning, or management.Employer Description:NLC transport and distribution were established as a partnership in 2000 to provide drivers and vehicles to local companies.
