Assist with loading the truck according to the bills of lading. The truck should be loaded in the order that best accommodates deliveries/stops.
Deliver material/orders to the customer's location as directed

Key areas of support:
Our customer has a very good sense of humour so wants someone who she can have a laugh with as she loves to build rapport with new people in her team. She is a very social person who loves to go to farms, out for walks, clubbing and to friendship circle. She also loves to go on walks and out in her car, it is essential you support her to access a variety activities. Whilst doing so her safety is at the forefront of everything, this can mean physical intervention may be used to keep her safe, being able to work collaboratively in a team is fundamental as her behaviours can often be unpredictable.
She also suffers with Epilepsy; her seizures may not be regular but do require rescue medication and can lead to then supporting her in hospital. Our customer requires someone who is engaged and will use and understand her signs to communicate, many will be unique to her. This a key part of building a rapport with her to understand when things may trigger her causing behaviours that challenge. Our customer is very independent in doing her own personal care but will still need 2 people to support her whilst she does so, she loves being pampered and all things girly and bling, on occasions she may need prompting or direct support. When it comes to meals the support team will do the cooking for safety purposes, but our customer enjoys helping in the preparation of meals, it is also important we upkeep her living environment.
Whilst this is an established team, our customers’ needs will be changing as her support is ongoing, therefore we need people who can easily adapt to anything that may arise. Due to the specialism of this role the successful candidate must be prepared to work within other areas of the business in and around Swindon should the need arise.

Milk recording - there will be the opportunity to help with milk recording to understand the process and why it is important
Learning about milk quality - cell count, bactoscan, butterfats, proteins, and urea in the milk to form a solid knowledge base of why jobs are done in certain ways in order to get the best milk and therefore profits
The farm is very focused on cost of production and how to maximise the margin whilst remaining a high animal welfare and a safe and happy working environment
Vet visits/TB testing - assisting with getting correct animals (picking out), engaging with the vet visit to learn from them and assisting with herd health as appropriate
Training:
You will be working towards a Level 2 General Farm Worker Apprenticeship standard. Includes the following qualifications;
Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, which is a minimum of 1-day course (Ofqual regulated)

Employer Description:A R Hooper and Partners Ltd. have two separate dairy units. The successful applicant will be mainly working on the farm at Lower Sessland. Lower Sessland (nr Whiddon Down) - 400 cows - 20/40 parlour - cows are grazed using a New Zealand style system throughout the spring/summer and are cubicle housed (sawdust) in the winter, they are on self-feed silage with cake in the parlour. Autumn calving herd (mid August start). Higher Cofford (nr Starcross) - 400 cows - 24/48 parlour - cows are grazed using a New Zealand style system 365 days a year. Cake fed in the parlour and supplemented with silage as required throughout the year but no indoor housing for the cows. There is a calf rearing shed. Spring calving herd (February start). All heifers, from both units, are reared close to Lower Sessland by us. Cow tracks on both farms are maintained to a high quality using concrete or sleepers as required - minimising lameness and maximising days at grass. Grass is measured weekly (during grazing season at Lower Sessland and all year round at Higher Cofford) so that we know how much grass grows daily and can utilise it to the maximum. We sell our milk to Arla and are Red Tractor assured.Working Hours :You will be working Monday to Friday. Occasionally weekend work will be required on a rota basis. Assist with handling, checking and preparing financial documentation such as invoices, receipts and remittances

Follow internal financial procedures, controls and approval processes and support internal BCUSU staff to do the same
Check own work and assist in identifying errors or inconsistencies in financial data, escalating issues in line with agreed procedures
Review the use of financial information in day-to-day operations of the commercial outlets to ensure accuracy and its use to support decision-making
Liaise with budget holders regarding queries or discrepancies relating to their budgets, providing spreadsheets or reports as required and developing an understanding of budget management within different parts of the organisation
Provide analysis and evidence as requested by External Auditors during year end process, under supervision, and develop awareness of organisational governance, structures and regulatory requirements
Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of a Finance Assistant through completion of the Level 2 apprenticeship, reflective learning, feedback, and active contribution as a collaborative member of the finance team
Complete the Level 2 Finance Assistant apprenticeship, meeting all training, assessment and portfolio requirements and reflect on performance to identify learning and development needs
Plan and review workload with the Finance Supervisor to meet agreed deadlines

As an Adult Care Apprentice, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care to individuals living in a Barchester home or hospital.
Interviews will take place on a rolling basis once applications are received, with the majority expected around the April half-term period. Successful candidates will join one of two intake windows, in July or September, depending on completion of pre-employment checks.
You will complete a structured development programme leading to a Level 2 Adult Social Care qualification, which must be achieved within the agreed apprenticeship timescale.
