A Software Engineering Degree apprenticeship involves working alongside experienced and outstanding software engineers. It combines spending typically two days a week at University (3rd year spent full-time at University), where you will acquire an Honours Degree, with time working on real projects, enhancing the skills necessary to develop a long career in the industry. Training:The successful candidate will undertake 18 months training to complete a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
All training will be carried out at the employer's premises, with the support of the employer, and will be delivered by Sheldrake Training.
Functional Skills maths and English will form part of the apprenticeship if the successful candidate doesn't already hold a level 4 or above for each subject. Training:You will receive specific on-the-job training from the employer in your workplace at Wembury Surgery.
Off-the-job training will be delivered using either weekly classroom sessions delivered at Achievement Training city centre location or you will be work based and will be given time in the working week to study towards the theory element of the programme. Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard
Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths (A*-C or 9-4 GSCE) will need to achieve this level before the end of their apprenticeship

The role of the driller involves a variety of different activities. You’ll be working in workshops and on board submarines drilling holes using various types of drilling equipment, ranging from a small compressed air pistol drill to large scale industrial drills. Larger holes are bored using specialist boring bars and machinery, up to the sizes of 140mm.Specialist training is provided to allow you to work on nuclear reactor bulkhead work, using state of the art equipment costing up to £100,000 designed especially for this type of work.
Drillers will also be trained in machine engineering facing, working to high tolerances to produce near-perfect flat surfaces, stud welding, hole tapping up to 56mm.
