Duties will include:
Manage inbound calls from customers and engineers
Investigate customer’s problems, providing technical assistance on Viessmann products installed in the field both via the telephone and email
Parts identification and selection for spare part enquiries
Handling technical enquiries related to design, performance, approval, production, and operation Viessmann products
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, help sheets, reports and records on our internal CRM system
Any other duties as reasonably required to assist Viessmann technical operations

Develop a technical understanding of electrical and/or mechanical building services systems installed in commercial and complex buildings
Read, understand and work with technical specifications, drawings and schedules
Work with engineers and BIM teams to coordinate designs and resolve technical queries
Raise and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and understand the importance of clear audit trail
Prepare and deliver Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to support safe installation activities
Support the procurement process, including requesting quotations, assessing technical compliance and placing orders
Attend project meetings with clients, designers, contractors and internal teams
Prepare information for progress reports, programme updates and cost control
Work with your project team to monitor installation progress against the programme and identify risks, solutions and opportunities
Learn how to manage change, including the importance of early warning notices and their impact on time and cost
Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are delivered and handed over in line with quality standards and completed drawings
As you gain experience, manage small sections of a project and take responsibility for meeting agreed targets and deadlines
Training:
You will train at one of the top performing colleges or training providers in the country
Level 4 Building Services Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
Block release at college
You will regularly attend in house training and development as part of the programme
Training Outcome:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Degree Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to live customer engineering projects, supporting real machining and manufacturing challenges across industries including aerospace, automotive, and general engineering. You will gain hands-on experience in applied manufacturing engineering while supporting customers to improve machining processes using Iscar tooling solutions.
Your duties will include:
Supporting engineering demonstrations and machining trials in the Technical Centre
Learning how carbide cutting tools work and how to select the correct tool for each application
Assisting Applications Engineers with technical problem-solving for customers
Supporting customers to improve machining performance, including cycle time, tool life, and part quality
Using engineering data to measure results and recommend improvements
Producing clear technical documentation such as notes, reports, and presentations
Supporting customer projects and attending customer visits with supervision
Training:This apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning with study for a Level 6 Degree in Manufacturing Engineering (BEng).
The apprenticeship includes:
Off-the-job training delivered by BMet - James Watt College (day or block release as agreed)
Structured workplace mentoring and support
Completion of engineering projects contributing to both academic study and customer solutions
Development of an apprenticeship portfolio to evidence Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs)
You will be supported by your line manager/mentor, the Iscar UK engineering team, and BMet tutors throughout the programme.Training Outcome:On successful completion of the programme, the apprentice is expected to progress into a skilled engineering role within the business, subject to performance and business needs.
