Role Purpose
The CI/Process Engineer for the Mantrose Group is responsible for driving productivity, yield loss reduction, and conversion cost improvements across both dry and liquid food ingredient manufacturing operations. This role provides engineering and project leadership for process optimization, systems development, and Lean implementation, while building organizational bench strength and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The CI/Process Engineer works closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial, and R&D teams to identify opportunities, execute projects, and implement sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities

Act as site Lean leader, facilitating Kaizen events, SMED workshops, 5S programs, and standard work development.
Train and coach operations personnel on Lean tools and continuous improvement methodology.
Manage CI and capital projects from concept through execution, ensuring timeline, budget, and deliverables are met.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
Act as a change agent, working cross-functionally to challenge status quo thinking and drive adoption of best practices.
Mentor operations team members on problem-solving, data analysis, and process improvement.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in process engineering, CI, or operations improvement within a manufacturing environment (food ingredients preferred).
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management principles (Green Belt preferred).
Experience in both dry processing (blending, bagging) and liquid processing (mixing, heating, cooling, milling) is a plus.
Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.) and ERP systems (D365 experience preferred).

Following year 1, you will spend 1 day a week studying and the rest of your time at Ishida, rotating through structured placements across the business to develop a broad understanding of our products, services and engineering capabilities
During years 3 and 4, you will spend one day a week studying the degree part of your apprenticeship at Birmingham City University (BCU)
You will have the opportunity to work on real world challenges, where you will see how your contributions can make a positive impact on the business
Your work will see you involved in anything from customer and supplier visits, factory acceptance testing, installations and site acceptance testing project tasks, to name a few
You will have a dedicated work mentor with planned regular reviews to support your progression
The type of working environment is one of “Teamwork” where collaboration, engagement, positive challenges where the individual can demonstrate their skills and abilities to make a difference
Training Outcome:On successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will be well positioned to progress into a permeant engineering role within Ishida, typically within Technical Product Design or a related engineering discipline.

A structured technical career pathway, allowing you to deepen your expertise and take on increasingly complex design responsibility
Opportunities to progress into senior technical, project or specialist engineering roles
Longer-term progression into people leadership or management roles for those who wish to develop in that direction

Little Adventures Victoria Park are delighted to have an opportunity for an Apprentice to join their team. As an Early Years Apprentice you will be trained on the job to give you a true representation of what it is like to work in a day nursery.
You will be allocated a buddy who you will work alongside, and you will work towards undertaking the role of a key person.
Within the role of Apprentice, you will attend training days with our training provider and the other days will be based at Little Adventures St. Philips, Bristol nursery.
Duties:
You will work as part of a team planning, monitoring and evaluating activities for children from birth to approximately five years of age
You will be responsible for the care and education of the children in the room within a key person structure
Support in ensuring the environment is stimulating and appropriate including layout, display of resources, displays and equal opportunities
Assist with the daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery
Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children in the room at all times is essential
You will work to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework
To support qualified staff with daily routines in the nursery
To learn the skills of a nursery nurse, (on the job), working practically as part of the team
To learn how to provide high quality childcare to our children
Understand the importance of keeping everyone safe and the part you play
To never be left unsupervised with the children
To gain a good understanding of child development and how this is important when caring for children
To contribute/complete children’s observations and records where required
About you:
You should have a strong interest in working with children to help them develop and grow
You should show the dedication to be able to complete the apprenticeship
You need to have at least a 4-5 / C Grade in GCSE maths or English or be willing to complete your functional skills alongside your apprenticeship
You should demonstrate a good work ethic and be able to communicate effectively with the people around you, making sure that you treat both other staff and children with respect and care at all times

They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.Training Outcome:
On completion of your level 3 apprenticeship (12-15 months), there may be opportunities to be promoted to a full time Early Years Practitioner and we will work with you to create a continuous development plan and learning pathway to reach your future career goals within the Early Years sector
