The Redline Group have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer, based on site in Loughborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within the AC Product Development team, leading the design and delivery of wiring harnesses and electrical work packages for cutting-edge fuel cell products.
Main responsibilities for the Principal Electrical Engineer, based in Loughborough, are:
Leading the electrical design and delivery of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies and other electrical work packages for hydrogen fuel cell products
Producing high-quality electrical schematics, wiring harness designs and manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks Electrical
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop scalable, production-ready electrical solutions that meet applicable standards and certification requirements
Supporting the development of system test rigs and ensuring designs consider circuits, harnesses, bonding, earthing, EMC and DfX principles
Key skills required for the Principal Electrical Engineer, based in Loughborough, are:
BEng, BSc or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Industrial experience in electrical design for electro-mechanical products
Strong experience with SolidWorks Electrical, schematic capture, wiring harness design and manufacturing documentation
Experience designing to recognised standards, including circuits, harnesses, bonding, earthing and EMC requirements
Ability to lead work packages, communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time with excellent attention to detail
