Our training partner will deliver a high-quality Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (MET) Technician Level 3 programme here in our state-of-the-art Bodyshop
No college attendance required as training will take place onsite
You will work alongside a highly skilled mentor who will support you in becoming a skilled and qualified vehicle MET technician
You will achieve a certification in Refrigerant Handling (EC 842-2006)
Once the apprenticeship is complete, you will achieve a Level 3 Vehicle damage mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) technician qualification
Level 2 maths and English Functional Skills (if not already achieved)

Training:Early Years Educator Level 3 Standard Apprenticeship qualification. Training will be provided on an ongoing daily basis and when required. You will not be required to attend Dudley College premises as the course is delivered in the workplace only. An assessor will be allocated to you to progress and help you through your course. Continual assessments, coupled with assignments or exams depending on course of study. Time spent training will be part of the agreed contracted hours of the working week.
At the end of your training, you will sit an exam and submit course work as part of your assessment, and you will receive a Level 3 qualification.
English and maths qualifications form a mandatory part of all apprenticeships, provided that equivalent qualifications aren't already held, and must be completed before an apprentice can pass through gateway. The requirements are detailed in the current version of the apprenticeship funding rules.
You will join a well-established team of practitioners, who will help to provide quality coaching and mentoring to achieve all the requirements needed to achieve your qualification.

Footwear manufacturing is highly skilled work. As a Dr. Martens apprentice, you will be working alongside the production team at our Made in England Factory, Wollaston, Northamptonshire, where our iconic 1460 boot was born. Surrounded by our footwear production experts, you’ll learn in a supportive and collaborative fast-paced environment, integrating traditional hands-on skills with innovative manufacturing technology. You will learn the footwear production process from start to finish.
Daily activities will include gaining experience in the following areas:
Clicking: operating cutting presses to specified quality standards, minimising wastage of skins and using innovative leather scanning and digital cutting technology
Closing: creating Dr. Martens uppers using a variety of sewing machines and other specialist machinery
Lasting: shaping the shoe around a last and attaching the sole to our famous yellow stitched welt
Shoe room: adding the final touches- lacing, cleaning, and boxing ready for dispatch
Training:The apprenticeship runs for 15 months in our Made in England factory. You will learn everything to do with Dr. Martens footwear manufacturing as well as aspects such as the tanning process, sizing, other footwear constructions and health and safety.
We are closely connected with Northampton College, where you will study and learn throughout the year, as well as with other companies in the footwear industry around Northamptonshire.
Your study programme will require you to attend Northampton College two days per month.

Please note once your shifts have been agreed, attendance is essential as there may be training or clients to deliver treatments on. If you miss the dates, you may not get any alternative dates, so may not complete your work experience hours
The hours you will be given will be on days between Friday-Sunday
You will be sent a salon handbook, please read it in full prior to coming in for your first shift (there is a lot of information but will make your transition into the salon much easier)
If you have other commitments, please make us aware prior to starting so that we can see if we can accommodate it
If you are already setting up or running your own beauty business of any sort, we will not be able to offer you work experience as there will be a conflict of interest
Please use the locker you’ll be allocated to put your personal possessions including your phone to reduce distraction during your time at the salon
There may be an expectation that you will deliver some level 2 beauty treatments, please make sure your polishing is up to commercial standards (not if you are just starting your level 2)

A Golf Greenkeeper is responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of a golf course in line with the employer’s requirements. It is their job to maintain a good quality playing surface and ensure the course offers a consistent challenge and an enjoyable experience for golfers.
There are four key turfgrass areas on a golf course – greens, tees, fairways and areas of rough, each of which requires a different type of maintenance. Using a range of equipment and machinery safely and competently will play a major part in an apprentice's training programme. Golf Greenkeepers will also be involved in hazard, environmental and ecological operations which may include bunker maintenance, planting turf, trees, shrubs and developing wildlife habitats. The skills required to become a competent greenkeeper will be acquired whilst working as an apprentice on the golf course.
By the end of the programme, you will know when, how and why the range of maintenance operations is carried out.
A Golf Greenkeeper will be able to:
Maintain good standards of health and safety for self and others
Prepare the golf course for play, which will include removing early morning dew and debris from the greens, raking bunkers, moving tee markers, and cutting new holes on greens.
Prepare and use equipment and machinery to maintain and renovate all turf surfaces within the golf course, including the use of tractors, ride-on machines, and specialist equipment.
Apply turf treatments to help produce quality playing surfaces, including fertilisers and top dressing.
Use a variety of integrated methods to control weeds, fungal diseases, pests and turf disorders.
Maintain and renovate bunkers and other hazards such as water features.
Maintain drainage and irrigation systems.
Prepare ground to establish turf and plants when maintaining, renovating and constructing golf course features.
