You will be enroled onto an 8-week pre-apprenticeship at CETC. In the 2nd part of the pre-apprenticeship, you will work on-site on a paid sponsorship to ensure you are ready to progress onto the full 18-month apprenticeship and be awarded a contract of employment with Ward & Burke and undertake the Groundworks Level 2 apprenticeship programme at the CETC campus.

The Apprentice Port Health, Safety and Environment Technician will support all PSS health, safety and culture output including safety alerts and bulletins, industry safety statistics, campaigns and briefings, and updating industry guidance.
The role includes visiting ports throughout the UK to support safety meetings and inspections. In the second year, there is an opportunity for a placement on site a member port.
After initial training and guidance, the key tasks include:
Creating safety alerts and bulletins.
Creating and posting content on the PSS website and social media relating to health, safety and culture.
Manage data submissions from members – acknowledging receipt, checking data and filing accordingly. In the second year, this will include basic data analysis.
Assisting in planning and running national Port Safety Group meetings, including attendance at those held in-person at UK port locations.
Liaising with members on health, safety and culture issues.
Assist with the management of the membership database.
Participate in member visits (nationally) alongside other PSS employees.

The Building Services team supports the department to make sure all infrastructural requirements are met. Our work falls broadly into 3 areas:
Maintenance and servicing
Testing and inspection to make sure we are compliant
The rearrangement of space and objects so that the next task can be done in the space dedicated
The last task can be as simple as removing waste, shifting furniture or as complex as a small Capital works project to reconfigure space: Stripping out, reconfiguring walls and doors, installing new power, lighting and data, processing chilled water, new paint, new flooring, and new ceiling etc.
The work is varied, and you will be trained in electrical installation and maintenance disciplines.
With the introduction of the 18th edition wiring regulations at the beginning of 2019, we have taken on refurbishment projects and this has led to the need to increase the number of electricians. As working in an Oxford University department as an electrician is somewhat unique, we want to take this opportunity to train our own staff.
As an apprentice, you will join the team sometime between July and September (the 1st September is the latest you would start), as the college training is due to start in September 2026. This gives you a chance to develop skills in and around being an electrician and to be settled at work before college starts.

The Finance Assistant Apprenticeship at Malvern Panalytical offers a structured rotational programme across the Finance department, enabling you to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) whilst working toward recognised accounting qualifications.
MAIN PURPOSE OF APPRENTICESHIP:
Malvern Panalytical is committed to developing the next generation of recruits through the apprentice scheme. Apprentices will work towards formal apprenticeship qualifications whilst making a valuable contribution to the business under the guidance of experienced mentors, line managers and tutors. Together, apprentices will develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits needed to excel in their careers.
The apprentice will have a structured rotational programme across the Finance function to have hands-on experience within each of the departments, incorporating: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance Reporting & Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
