Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Support the class teacher in the preparation and delivery of learning activities Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs Assist with classroom organisation, displays and resources Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes and during other non-class-based activities Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy Support children’s emotional, social and physical well-being Help assess pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers Engage in personal and professional activities, including attending training sessions, INSET days and completing all apprenticeship activities and assignments

Training:

This is a work-based programme which means that, predominantly, your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours.

You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.



Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, it is hoped that there will be a full-time, permanent role for you to move into. This level 3 apprenticeship is the equivalent of A-levels and will give you the entry requirements to progress into a higher-level teaching assistant apprenticeship or apply for a university place. It will also support a career in children and family services and social work alongside many others.

Monday 8am-4pm. Tuesday 8am-3.45pm. Wednesday 8am-4.15pm. Thursday 8am-3.45pm. Friday 8am-3.45pm.
