Your Role
An exciting opportunity to join one of the largest national law firms in the UK. You will be supporting the Court of Protection Team and managing large medical negligence or Personal Injury damages awards in order to meet the client’s needs. We help clients who are responsible for managing someone else’s affairs, those who are concerned about the ability of someone else to manage their own affairs or another person’s affairs and clients who may be concerned about their own ability to manage their affairs.
Paralegal apprentices support solicitors with the day-to-day management of the client files.
Your main responsibilities within the department will include the following:
Maintain accurate case records and update internal systems assisting with the management of client finances under the supervision of the deputy which would include; paying invoices, purchasing equipment, setting up new bank accounts and standing orders, assisting with the management of household utilities, preparing spreadsheets, taking notes during client meeting
Liaising with case managers and other fee earners within the business regarding client issues that arise on
Attend and contribute to team/practice area meetings and comply with directions/decisions made to ensure team objectives achieved
You will need to become familiar with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and will work with clients who may have suffered brain injury as a result of medical negligence or accidents. You will also need to keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attend appropriate training events as and when required
Communicating with clients, other firms of solicitors and third parties by telephone or in writing including taking client instructions and providing case updates when appropriate
Achieve time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working
Ensuring compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
Conducting legal research as requested by members of the team
You may sometimes be required to complete relevant administration duties including photocopying, scanning documents, amending documentation, filing, archiving and file maintenance
You will be expected to be predominantly office based during the first 6 months of your apprenticeship to support your learning within this division
Training:As a Paralegal Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Paralegal Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Additional learning within the apprenticeship will enable you to be awarded a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Legal Services which can afford you exemptions from the first two years of the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship.

This occupation is found in the Construction and Built Environment industry including new-build, renovation and refurbishment. It is a specialist contracting occupation largely involved in the construction of partitions, walls and ceilings. The broad purpose of the occupation is to install, repair and maintain various elements of the internal structure of a building to a high standard. (e.g. ceilings above and walls around the structure).
In your daily work, you will learn to install different drylining systems that form the walls and rooms within a building, often used to hide wires and pipes whilst improving acoustics and create space for insulation. The role of the apprentice is to learn how to safely and competently operate, manage daily maintenance functions and complete relevant admin roles for a variety of machine tools (Manual and CNC) around the factory.
Year 1 will consist of initial training within a dedicated apprentice workshop. Knowledge and skills to be learnt will include:

As a Chef apprentice, you will...
-Prepare, cook and present food which meets specs and customer expectations.
-Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help to guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
-Communicate clearly with your team in order to provide high-quality meals to customers on time.
-Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions.
What your apprenticeship includes
-A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4-6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress

During the Dental Nurse Apprenticeship, you will receive ongoing support, development and training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to qualify and have a successful career in dental nursing.
Your daily activities could include:
Assisting the dentist in providing safe and effective treatments to patients, from simple check-ups to advanced specialist treatments
