As a Highways Construction Site Supervisor Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of highway maintenance and construction works within Area 12. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to supervise and manage highway construction and maintenance projects. Working with our Operations and Scheme Delivery teams, you’ll support on-site delivery in the construction phase of our projects. You’ll also learn how we manage the performance on-site of our internal Maintenance and Response teams and specialist supply chain contractors.

On a normal day, the apprentice will help plan and deliver marketing for films and events, create and schedule social media posts, and respond to messages and comments. They’ll update the website with accurate listings, write film/event copy for the website and weekly newsletter, and organise photos/artwork in the media archive. This manufacturing apprentice role will enable you to learn the skills required to be able to assist the production department, resources, and systems to ensure the company maintains a high-quality product, always in line with company policies, regulatory standards, and statutory guidelines/ deadlines.
At the end of the 3-year apprenticeship with the training provided and qualifications achieved we expect that you will become fully competent in being a manufacturing operative and be able to complete the following duties:
