Key Responsibilities
Accountabilities:
To provide IT support, using telephone, remote access and/or by attending site, to our nurseries and support services
To ensure all our nurseries have adequate Wi-Fi and communications responding quickly to any issues arising
To respond to requests for IT support, maintaining records on work undertaken, as and when required
To respond sensitively and professionally in supporting and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and all contacts who work in partnership with the Company
To carry out routine network maintenance tasks, e.g. maintaining user network accounts, including email accounts, installing hardware and software as necessary, maintaining computer peripheral equipment such as printers and scanners, checking and configuring new computer equipment for users, ensuring anti-virus software is installed on all devices, etc.
To assist in the maintenance and support of all management information and finance systems and associated modules
To proactively support the adoption of new technologies, as appropriate
To assist with the installation and testing of new software and making the software available to appropriate users
To be familiar with all Health and Safety issues relating to the use of IT equipment, raise any Health and Safety concerns
To be aware of, and work within the Company's Health and Safety policies, relating to the working environment and building security, reporting any issues promptly
To work within the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 & GDPR 2018, observing strict confidentiality in relation to all aspects of work undertaken
To contribute to a risk assessment around the use of equipment
Maintain an update asset register of all hardware
To maintain/update IT audit of all hardware and software, and particularly licences associated with the hardware. Be responsible for ensuring the organisation always has legal licences for software used
Travel to nurseries for the proper performance of these duties to be undertaken from time to time

Training:As part of the Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship Standard, you will learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours which will support you for your end-point assessment.
You will take part in a combination of activities, such as face-to-face classroom-based sessions, work shadowing and online learning, to support your learning and development and compile a portfolio of evidence.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake training sessions with Avant Skills Academy every other week throughout the length of the apprenticeship.

During your period of training, you will learn how to install, service and repair breakdowns of Mazak CNC Machines (including Lasers).
Learning how to diagnose faults, check machine alignments and change electrical drives, motors and encoders.
This is a field-based role for the Midlands area of England.
Once trained, the typical work split will be 80% supporting dealers with technical assistance via email or phone.
Where remote assistance is not sufficient, attending customers' premises across the UK and Europe, to ensure satisfactory machine installation, fault-finding and repair.
By the end of your training, the successful applicant will be hands-on and technically competent, while equally comfortable completing reports using Microsoft Office.
Training:Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN).
Duration approximately 40-45 months.

You will be required to work on the Helpdesk as well as working on specific projects and tasks defined with you by the Management Team. You will not be a call logger, with the expectation being that by the end of your tenure you can resolve at least 85% of all the incidents you log yourself.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, IT-focused individual looking to develop their skills within a 1st line support role for a rapidly growing organisation.
You will help resolve IT related issues for over 650 sites across the UK. You will need to work fast and determine if issues can be resolved internally or need to be escalated to 3rd parties. You will be responsible for ensuring users are kept updated and deliver a high level of support and customer service.
The role will include training days for your time with Estio training, and 1 day a week to complete course work.
Duties and key responsibilities
You will:
Be the first point of call for colleagues across the business, diagnosing and assisting them with their issues over the phone and via email.
Work as part of a team to resolve incidents and requests within a given SLA.
Work with our 3rd party support providers to ensure incidents are resolved.
Liaise with end users to ensure they are kept informed about the progress of their issue.
Be able to diagnose and resolve common software and hardware issues.
Discuss and explain issues with users in a non-technical way where required, to gather the right information to progress their issue.
Training:Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team.
