Troubleshoot faults and failures in processing equipment including identification of corrective actions linked to unplanned engineering breakdowns impacting safety, service and product quality
Repair of faulty manufacturing, facilities and lab machinery and equipment throughout the site as required including water processing, generation and effluent systems
Adherence to site spare parts and materials control, ensuring issuance and new supply information is accurate
Full participation and promotion of the site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs including PUWER, risk and manual handling assessments and investigations
Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance site policies and procedures
Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) projects across the business as the need arises, playing an active role and supporting analysis requirements

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Eye Technician:
Following training and sign-off, to perform a variety of routine tests using ophthalmic instruments that provide diagnostic information, including, but not limited to, visual fields and OCT scanning, and Reichert tonometry
Assist clinicians during diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, including instrumentation, sterile preparations and documentation.
Administer topical medications or diagnostic drugs as required by for testing or treatment
Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic tests and procedures. This may require moving or manoeuvring patients to do so.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times
To attend mandatory training such as health and safety, fire, or resuscitation.
To attend any practice meetings as necessary
Administrator:
Referral processing and patient registration
Clinic bookings
Handling telephone queries
Administrative tasks such as scanning, letter typing, etc.
Please note if the Eye Clinic has capacity on some days, this role will be required to support the GP reception team duties.
