The Role of the Territory Manager
The job is an out and out Territory Manager role and is a new business role. You will be selling their whole portfolio of medical devices and consumable products including, suction liners, catheters, cardiology consumables, stents, wound drainage vacuums, ENT suction products etc.
You will be liaising with and selling to a wide range of hospital departments including theatre managers, sisters, nurses, procurement, neonatal departments, ITU/CCU/ICU, material management departments, EBME.
You will be tasked to visit around 2 hospitals a day but will have multiple access to multiple departments within the hospitals.
You will spend around 35% of time in theatre.
Covering a North Thames region which includes North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Suffolk, Norfolk & Cambridgeshire

Objective: The Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, robust Quality Assurance (QA) and Control (QC), compliance with regional regulations, support of customers/field initiatives, and effective operations of the laboratory and teams. This capability is required for Kop-Coat core segments in Wood Preservation and Farm & Forest. This leadership role is aligned with market, customer, industry, and business objectives. The incumbent is expected to interact with customer/industry stakeholders to understand and perform to evolving requirements.
Essential Functions
Technical Leadership: Provide strategic and hands-on leadership across formulations, QA/QC, field technical support, and regulatory compliance. Supervise all laboratory operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, compliant testing and reporting of raw materials and finished goods. Contribute, maintain, and manage product project priorities to ensure deadlines are met. Ensure all lab activities and products comply with relevant legal regulations and standards (e.g., EPA, EHS, ACVM, APVMA, MPI, HSNO) and other relevant frameworks. Manage technical aspects of product development from formulation, scale-up, final product testing, and commercialization to drive process improvements, troubleshooting, and manufacturing excellence. Investigate customer/sales factors to optimize formula design and other technical elements, including but not limited to integration with field trial activities (primarily, not exclusively for established portfolios). Continuous development of CSC capabilities (personnel, facility, etc.).
Reporting & Communication: Set and track quality and technical performance KPIs, report results, risks, and improvement plan. Coordinate technical documentation, validation protocols, and reports as requested. Communicate effectively across departments and with key stakeholders. Establish, communicate, and update quarterly team member responsibilities and goals. Establish collaborative leadership relationships within RPM businesses.
Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends and emerging marketing technologies. Contribute to the development of profitable platforms across all segments/markets. Develop knowledge and educate staff on analytical chemistry, formulation science, method development, stability, and compliance standards. Up-to-date knowledge of technical advances in field application techniques, product delivery systems, and quality control innovations. Skills and Qualifications

Working at the forefront of marine site characterisation, you will help extract and identify species from seabed and marine substrates across the globe, contributing to environmental insights that enable clients to understand the impact of their developments on coastal and marine ecosystems. This role offers a chance to be part of a dynamic, purpose-driven team making tangible contributions to global marine science from a unique waterside location.
Your role and responsibilities:
Support Benthic analysis and other onsite labs (sediment and water quality).
Process marine sediment samples from worldwide locations.
Tasks: receipt, preparation, faunal extraction, biomass, housekeeping, equipment checks.
Test marine sediment and water samples.
Conduct water quality sampling in Hampshire, West Sussex at local schools, leisure centres, and onboard cruise ships.
Receive and log samples.
Prepare, sieve, sort, and biomass macrofauna samples.
Housekeeping, recycling, disposal of residues.
Sample storage and logistics, requiring manual handling.
Equipment calibrations and checks.
Accurate record keeping for UKAS standards.
Adhere to technical standards and QHSSE policies.
Potential apprenticeship programme for skill development (optional).
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
Essential
Minimum A level scientific education
Basic Microsoft Office capabilities.
