KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

2. Apply DMPK, ADME, and PK/PD expertise to interpret data, inform exposure, human PK and dose projection, and solve complex problems across projects and therapeutic areas.
3. Build trust and deepen strategic relationships with key clients and partners, influencing them on key business and strategic issues.
4. Mentor and coach DMPK/ADME colleagues, ensuring high scientific and professional standards within the department.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

1. A doctorate in a relevant scientific discipline, supported by significant postdoctoral, industry or equivalent research experience and a proven track record operating at Senior Scientist level or above.
2. Proven experience in molecular biology, genomics, transcriptomics, cell biology or related disciplines, including hands-on mammalian cell culture and complex cellular systems. Your background will include contract research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or academic research environments.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a cross-functional Nitrosamine Risk Assessment programme focused on Biotherapeutic Products, including proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and cell & gene therapies.
This role will be responsible for coordinating the initial assessment of existing nitrosamine risk evaluations and supporting documentation to determine alignment with current regulatory expectations. The focus of the assignment is on assessment, gap identification and planning, rather than confirmatory testing or remediation activities.
Working closely with Scientific, R&D, Quality and Regulatory teams, the successful candidate will facilitate technical reviews, stakeholder alignment and decision-making processes to establish scope, resource requirements and recommended next steps.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Drug Substance, Drug Product, Material Sciences, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Quality functions.
Develop and manage a structured assessment workplan including milestones, deliverables, dependencies and resource requirements.
Facilitate the review of existing biotherapeutics nitrosamine risk assessments and supporting documentation.
Coordinate technical discussions, capture decisions, actions and evidence requirements.
Support comparison of current biotherapeutics risk assessment approaches against established synthetic product methodologies where appropriate.
Track identified gaps and coordinate definition of follow-on assessment, testing or remediation requirements.

Required Experience
Direct experience supporting Nitrosamine Risk Assessments relating to Biotherapeutic Products.

Understanding of Biotherapeutic Drug Substance and Drug Product development, manufacturing processes and associated risk considerations.

The successful candidate will ideally possess:
A Degree, Master's, or PhD in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience developing optical, photonic, imaging, or laser-based systems.
Strong knowledge of geometrical optics, physical optics, laser technologies, and optical instrumentation.
Experience using optical simulation and design tools such as Zemax, Code V, FRED, or equivalent.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
Experience within aerospace, defence, semiconductor, life sciences, industrial, or scientific markets would be advantageous.
An understanding of systems engineering processes and product development lifecycles.

Perform System design including key Electrical, Harnessing Design, routing and schematic components.
Thermal equipment design and selection using System Analysis of Fluidic, Performance, Structural, Thermal, Reliability, Radiation, Hazard, Safety, Failure Modes Effects and Critical FMECA Analysis.
