All team members meet at the yard in Pinxton (NG16 6JB) at 8am.
Instructions of the days work and equipment required will lead to the necessary equipment being loaded on the allocated vehicle, along with the necessary daily/weekly/monthly checks
The team will then travel via the work vehicles to site(s) allocated for the day to carry out the work required.
After the allocated work has been carried out, the team return to the yard and unload the vehicle, maintaining their equipment if required for the following day.
The role will start with observing the teams, loading vehicles, accompanying a team to site, understanding the Health & Safety obligations before work commences, moving through to supporting aerial tree workers with their equipment for aerial tree work operations, gaining experience with chippers, chainsaw use, tree identification, climbing, pruning, branch removal and aerial rescue.
Training Outcome:
Team members will have the opportunities to progress to Lead Climbers and/or Team leaders.

Groundworkers are the first trade onto a construction and civil engineering site and they work closely with supervisors and engineers in interpreting design specifications to prepare the site ready for the structural building works to take place.
