Key Responsibilities:

Essential Skills/Experience:
A good degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience in a data role.
At least 3 years’ professional experience developing data pipelines and ETLs using Microsoft products.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with cloud-native technologies like Azure Data Factory.
Demonstrable experience of delivering technical work within time and budget constraints.
Good understanding of data security best practices.
Experience in supporting ETLs or data pipelines crucial to a production system.
Experience working in a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL.
Experience with Cloud and Infrastructure as Code, particularly in an Azure setting using Bicep.
Understanding of DevOps practices and the associated benefits.
Skill in database testing including unit, performance, stress, and security testing.
Experience working in an agile team.
Experience working in a highly regulated industry and with highly sensitive data.
Exposure to large data solutions like Snowflake, Trino, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Databricks.
Experience in data science using R, Stata, or Python.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket.
Understanding of clinical trials, GCP, and GxP.

The broad purpose of a machine tool application engineer is to support new & existing Mazak customers in setting up, optimisation and operation of their CNC machine tool.
Supporting customers across all manufacturing sectors including, aerospace, defence, medical, oil & gas, energy, and high performance automotive.
As part of the role, machine tool application engineers will provide technical support & expertise for all areas of the engineering and manufacturing function.
This begins with presale support involving a comprehensive analysis of machine requirements and includes process definition and development, machine selection and time estimates.
Following the sale of a machine tool, support is provided, from onsite application support through to project management of a completely bespoke machining solution (including machine tool, automation, measurement solutions, CAD/CAM and process training).
In their daily work, a machine tool application engineer will liaise with customers via email, in person and telephone to provide technical support. They will also program, set up and operate various CNC machine tools including lathe, machining centre, 5 axes multitasking and laser technology. Another aspect of the role requires the engineer to deliver Mazatrol program training to new users in the Mazak training academy. They will also interact with various stakeholders, both internal & external suppliers. As a customer facing role, the application engineer works closely with the sales team to provide technical support, machine tool demonstrations and engineering solutions to customer requirements. Typically, reporting to the applications' manager, they should be able to work with minimal supervision.
Training:Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Worcester (WR4 9GN):
Duration is approximately 40–45 months.
Year 1 includes 29–42 weeks off-the-job training to cover practical and theory aspects.
Year 2 would include 1 day per week to complete the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge.
Years 3&4 will be based in company developing skills in preparation for the end point assessment to gain your Machining Technician Level 3 qualification.
You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment.
Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed.
There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in the spring of each year offered to all apprentices on the programme.Training Outcome:

Work as part of our project teams to assist in the development of sustainable and cost-effective design solutions, supporting Engineers, Principal Engineers, Associates and Directors.
Undertake engineering calculations.
Assist in the development of designs and the production of drawings.

Throughout the 48-month duration of your apprenticeship, you’ll be learning from technical experts in manufacturing processes and our current Engineering Technicians who have decades of experience within our breweries
As part of the apprenticeship, you’ll participate in blocks of off-site learning and training with our best-in-class training provider, Midland Group Training Services
Based in Coventry, you’ll spend up to 5 months at a time at their learning centre, gaining theoretical knowledge and practical workshop experience which you’ll apply when back on site

· Answering all emails in a timely professional manner, including queries from customers, engineers or the general public.
· Maintain good working relationships with customers, ensuring we are providing the best possible customer care.
· Carrying out proactive calls to update customers of service status, engineer visits both reactive and preventative maintenance and close off service issues by updating the ERP accordingly.
· Assist our customers to manage their consignment stock, accurately reporting and replenishing as required.
· Preparing quotations for existing customers e.g consumables, replacing faulty or damaged equipment, additional equipment.
· Scheduling jobs for the service engineers, ensuring the engineers location and proximity to site, are taken into consideration in line with the service level agreement terms and priority level of job.
· Parts distribution to engineers, in line with requirements to ensure that the field service team members are carrying the correct items on their van and have specific parts for job requirements.Training Outcome:
