Every day is different within the Service department. As a Service Technician/Mechanic apprentice, some of your duties will include:
Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working
Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined
Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection
Maintenance of electronic systems including on- board entertainment systems

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely. There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III). The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions and layout requirements. Accurately measure materials using tape measures and other precision tools. Operate circular saws, specialized saw equipment (including setup and maintenance), and basic cutting tools. Operate lift trucks and forklifts to move and stage materials after completing certification requirements. Safely handle and transport materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs as needed. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in pre-cut operations. Collaborate with team members to maintain a productive and quality-focused work environment. Actively participate in team meetings and report discrepancies or quality issues to supervisors. Verify materials meet required quality standards before advancing to the next phase of production. Perform routine inspection and maintenance of cutting tools, saw equipment, and lift trucks to ensure safe operation. Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates. Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality. Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues. Participate in the continuous improvement process.
