The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in both operational supply chain planning and analytical decision-making, supporting the business as it modernises systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing purchasing and stock replenishment plans to support demand
Forecasting, stock level monitoring, and identifying risks or shortages
Analysing supplier performance, lead times, and cost-saving opportunities
Supporting imports from the Far East, including understanding lead times and logistics mechanisms
Producing and maintaining reports using advanced Excel and BI tools
Supporting automation roll-outs and new system/ERP upgrades
Providing weekly updates to the Commercial Manager and monthly reporting to the Board
About You
This is not a graduate or trainee role. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience who can add value from day one.
Essential requirements:
2–3 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Planner / Analyst role within an FMCG-led industry
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modelling; macros highly desirable)
Experience producing BI-style reports (Power BI advantageous)
Strong understanding of forecasting and stock level management
Knowledge of Far East import processes and supply chain lead times
Confident communicator via email and telephone with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Locally based in Birmingham and happy with an onsite role
Desirable:
ERP system experience (Kerridge K8 highly beneficial)

The role offers the opportunity to work within a globally recognised law firm, handling high-value and complex matters for major insurers, P&I clubs, brokers, shipowners, charterers, logistics companies, and other stakeholders in the global marine sector. The work spans both contentious and advisory areas, including coverage disputes, subrogated recoveries, liability claims, and cross-border matters.
Key responsibilities include managing a varied caseload across marine insurance lines such as hull and machinery, cargo, P&I, and freight liability, as well as advising on complex policy coverage issues. The role involves acting in High Court litigation, LMAA and other arbitrations, and international disputes. It also requires strong drafting skills for pleadings, opinions, policy wordings, and settlement agreements, while supporting partners on strategic, high-value cases and maintaining strong client relationships.

Deputy Store Manager – Charity Retail Superstore
Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire Salary: £27,000 -£29,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, including weekends)
Store Opening Hours: Monday - Saturday 9:30am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm
A well-established charity retailer in Oxford is looking for a Deputy Store Manager to support the day-to-day running of its flagship store and wider retail operation. This is more than a shop, it’s a place of social impact, where retail meets rehabilitation, reuse and reinvestment in people.
About the Role
As Deputy Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager and a small leadership team to ensure the smooth, safe, and commercially successful running of the store. You will lead from the front, supporting, developing and motivating a diverse team of staff, volunteers and programme participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Store Manager in all areas of store operations and deputise in their absence
Lead and inspire a team of volunteers and programme participants (Companions) to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
Oversee shop floor standards, health and safety checks and day-to-day operational excellence
Support stock control and ensure smooth coordination with the collections and deliveries team
Contribute to financial performance through accurate till procedures and cost controls
Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and purposeful retail environment in line with the charity’s values
About You:
Essential:
Previous retail leadership experience and a strong customer focus
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Excellent communication, organisation and time management
Ability to work weekends on a rota basis
Experience working with vulnerable individuals or those with challenging behaviours would be advantageous
Passion for sustainability and social impact
Experienced gained within a charity retail setting would be advantageous

The successful candidate, who will be reporting to the department line supervisor/manager, will be dealing with import shipments and import customer services, for general accounts and larger key account customers.
The person will work as a part of the import team and arrange shipments from Scandinavia to UK based customers, by use of the existing DSV road-freight and distribution network across Scandinavia, along with internal UK distribution and warehousing departments.
The role will involve communicating with the local DSV depots across the UK and Scandinavia to ensure deliveries are done in accordance with our customers’ requirements. There will also be a degree of customer services involved with direct communication to the customer(s)
Additionally, there will be various other ad hoc administrational tasks such as POD handling and following up on customer enquiries/questions.
Duties will include:
Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions
Receive bookings from UK importers either via our online booking platform or by e-mail
Contact delivery UK places to book in deliveries.
Instructing UK Warehouse and Distribution teams for loading/offloading of cargo to vehicles using our Transport Management System
Liaise with other DSV offices in the UK and abroad, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements
Ensure legislative compliance in all areas
Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. invoicing, filing, queries, claims, POD handling
Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices, as required by operational procedures
