You’ll work alongside our experienced lead coach, teachers, and support staff to deliver a wide range of exciting sports-based activities, remembering that we use the word ‘sport’ to encompass all forms of physical activity, which aim at expressing or improving physical fitness, mental wellbeing and the formation of social relationships. Your week could include everything from breakfast club to after-school clubs, PE lessons, parent sports clubs, residential trips, adventure activities, themed school sports days, dance groups, cycling groups, group fitness classes, training sessions and inter-school sports competitions.
The nature of roles and responsibilities for this role may include:
Supporting small groups and individuals in the teaching environment, for instance those with learning, physical or health plans, the least active or more able pupils
Promoting key health messages and acting as a community 'activator' to engage young people in developing lifelong healthy, active lifestyles
Setting up activities, clearing away resources, looking after all sports equipment (ensuring it is fit for use, in the right place and in good order), maintaining wall displays etc. as guided by teaching staff
Developing and delivering the provision of breakfast, lunchtime and after school sports clubs
Supporting the co-ordination of sporting events, willing to accompany students on educational visits, outings and sporting / PE events as supervised by the teacher or senior person responsible
Assisting with the organisation and delivery of various events across school, including fixtures and inter-house competitions and events
Working alongside the coaching / teaching team to deliver high quality PE sessions
Support the delivery of innovative programmes of high-quality sport and physical activity that also contribute to the building of an active community through:
Supporting the planning and delivery of after-school club sport and physical activity sessions
Leading and/or supporting the delivery of sport and physical activity via school lessons and the sports curriculum
Be involved in creating opportunities within sessions for children to grow leadership confidence and capability through sport and physical activity

As an Apprentice with Air Liquide you’ll be fully supported to achieve a nationally recognised engineering qualification by the end of your 4 years at Air Liquide. Daily tasks and duties:

You will attend James Watt College on a part time basis following a mechatronics pathway.
You will obtain the level 3 Engineering Technician Standard qualification on the completion of this apprenticeship.
Your study will include a mixture of practical and knowledge development in multiskilled engineering.
The programme will also focus on encouraging behavioural development as an Air Liquide employee.
This will be 3 day per week in the first year, followed by subsequent day release in the year 2.

The role of the apprentice is very much on the job, getting hands on experience.
Repair and maintain tooling to pre-determined standard times and estimates
Using recognised problem-solving techniques to analyse tool problems
Disassemble and rebuild tools for maintenance/repair and re-grind
Reporting key spares/repairs to the Toolroom Lead
Analysis and actioning of tool problems in production
Promoting and utilising the company’s health & safety requirements
Championing the use of appropriate PPE
Training:Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training – in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
In house training in line with your requirements.

The Apprentice will be responsible for the operation, planned maintenance and reactive repair of all equipment relevant to the network
This may involve attending customer properties - both residential and commercial, as well as distribution substations and energy centres, generating heat and often electricity
The role can involve working under pressure and to tight time constraints, such as when responding to energy outages
The Apprentice may also be required to support project improvement and specialist works, for example, acting as the company representative on the ground, supporting subcontractors
Technicians are responsible for completing all operation and maintenance tasks to a high standard, whether planned, corrective or reactive
An accurate, clear and concise record of all works will be required
Technicians typically report directly to a site manager, operations manager or maintenance manager
Training:
You will work towards a Level 3 Heat Network Maintenance Technician apprenticeship qualification
Training will be delivered in partnership with (South and City College Birmingham), through a combination of block release and on-site training at our facilities in Birmingham, Block training weeks at the provider's campus, with remaining learning integrated into your regular work schedule
Training Outcome:
Successful apprentices may progress to a permanent role as a Maintenance Engineer, Project Technician or even move into control systems or energy efficiency roles within our organisation
