Learn to carry out fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment ; Presses, Robots, PLC’s, Electrical Control Systems, CNC machines, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
Learn to undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities
Learn programming, fault diagnosis, servicing and repair of robots, rotary positioners, mig welding and resistance welding equipment
Learn to prepare technical reports to analyse breakdown causes and make recommendations on countermeasures
Learn to support equipment commissioning and installation projects
Maintain strict adherence to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times
Follow manufacturer's technical manuals to help locate faults
Learn to use a range of testing instruments and tools to maintain and repair equipment
Learn to cover complex activities on plant equipment, PLC fault finding and reprogramming as well as identifying and resolving electrical and mechanical faults

This is a Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship, delivered over a 30 month period.
The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2.5 days per week for the first 10 months, and the company for the rest of the time.
