Market Insights - Responsible for overall market insights and intelligence activities to inform the corporate and marketing strategy, planning, and portfolio decisions. This is done through the compilation of internal and external data sources, both ongoing and adhoc, then interpreting these and their potential impact on strategy and planned tactics.
User Insights - Own qualitative and quantitative user research at Rust-Oleum, including User Segmentation, Brand Positioning, Macro Trends, etc. The research conducted will provide a clear understanding of end-user needs, wants, problems, likes and dislikes with respect to target home improvement and professional applications, as well as educate the team on research best practices.
Business Insights - Create a clearly defined market intelligence plan. Create actionable business insights internally and externally; internally this includes assessing sales performance of our products at retail in a timely and factual manner; externally, you'll provide a value-added service to retailers by positioning Rust-Oleum as the vendor of choice.
POS Data - Capture & analyze POS scanner data from sources such as NPD, Epicor, Retail Links, audits & surveys, customer data, etc. to identify customer opportunities.
Merchandising / Category Management - Provide analysis and shopper-driven recommendations as part of business reviews, assortment & space optimization, and trade promotions.

Business Administration & Office Support
Produce accurate records and documents (emails, letters, reports, registers, proposals).
Update and maintain internal databases, spreadsheets, invoices, and bookings.
Support financial administration: purchase orders, cost logs, tracking class income, and supplier documentation.
Assist with drafting internal policies, data entry, and filing systems.Handle confidential information in accordance with Blend Culinary Foundation procedures and data protection legislation.
Operations & Cookery School Delivery
Support the setup and logistics for classes, including equipment checks, ingredient prep lists, and room readiness.

Shadow the chef team & operations leads to understand cross-departmental workflows.
Community & Partnership Support
Assist in the delivery of community activations, school visits, and external partnerships.

Project Management & Event Support
Provide administrative support for ongoing projects, including business expansion efforts, corporate days, volunteer coordination, and impact reporting.

The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Marketing & Communications Manager to join the Australian Marketing team. Reporting to a senior leader and working alongside a small and high performing team, you will lead key communication pillars including social media, PR facilitation, sponsored content and BAU marketing assets.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in a lean team, and is excited by the chance to work across more than 30–40 managed funds and multiple brand partners.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the execution of the Australian social media strategy which is currently centred on LinkedIn, with planned expansion into other platforms.
Develop and run high-impact sponsored content programs and paid media campaigns with agencies and external partners.
Manage day-to-day PR activity in partnership with the Marketing Director, ensuring timely coordination and amplification.
Produce diverse and engaging marketing communications including eDMs, digital copy, brochures, digital assets and promotional collateral.
Collaborate closely with investment and distribution teams to deliver impactful, relevant campaigns tailored to advisers and market needs.
Drive continuous improvement using data-driven performance insights across engagement marketing assets and campaigns.
Ensure all marketing materials meet legal and compliance requirements, coordinating signoff and governance as required.
Leverage global best practices, adapting them for local use to strengthen Australia’s marketing effectiveness.
Support BAU content programs including webinars, videos and content across a broad multi-product platform.
About You
Experience & Knowledge
Background in marketing within financial services - funds management experience essential. (wealth managers, platforms also considered)
Ability to translate complex investment concepts into simple, engaging content for financial advisers.
Understanding of PR operations and media engagement.
Experience with digital platforms and martech systems (e.g., Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics etc).
Familiarity with key financial services regulatory standards.
Skills & Attributes

Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and stakeholder management capabilities.
