The four-year programme is designed to enable you to experience different aspects of engineering and production technology including robotics, controls systems, machining, fluid power, electronics, welding and many more.
The first year of the program is purely in a learning environment where in addition to starting the academic requirements of your program, you will undertake a practical based engineering program which covers core engineering skills such as milling and turning, electrical and electronic circuits and control and fluid power, PLC’s etc
In the second and third year you will continue with the academic requirements of the program alongside on-the-job training. Your on-the-job training will comprise of placements in a number of different areas of the business, with particular focus on the maintenance departments and may also involve placements at other BMW UK sites. If at the end of your second year you meet your targeted grades you will have the opportunity to continue your fully funded academic training beyond Level 3 onto an HNC in Engineering
In your fourth year your on-the-job training will continue and will become more targeted to your final job role and where the job requires it you will start working a shift pattern to help better integrate you with your team

This is an exciting time to join United Living on our Apprenticeship Programme as the business continues to grow and we have a significant order book of secured future projects.
Our Property Services business revitalises homes and communities through the regeneration of living spaces, breathing new life into neighbourhoods. We are looking for an Apprentice to join the commercial team and you will assist the Quantity Surveyors with the fiscal and contractual administration of projects being carried out. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and issuing subcontract enquiries and trade packages.
Assessing and comparing subcontractors quotes and drafting orders
Preparing monthly reports
Evaluating materials on site and labour time records
Paying invoices through the finance system and preparing subcontractor final accounts

As an Apprentice with United Living, you’ll be given a real job from day one where you will gain hands-on industry experience, and the knowledge required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification
You’ll be inspired and stretched professionally, but fully supported by an expert network of colleagues, as you work to build the foundations for a career within United Living, and the construction industry.
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto the Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship, which will be delivered by our training partner the University of Westminster. The programme is two years long and you will attend campus one day per week to study towards your qualification
You will be fully supported through a variety of methods such as lectures, learning materials, and one-to-one support from your tutor or coach. They will also meet regularly with you and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be awarded a:
Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship,
Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management,
will automatically qualify for TechCIOB-L4 professional accreditation.
You will then progress to the Level 6 Construction Quantity Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship programme.Training Outcome:

NDT Engineering Technician Apprentice
We are currently recruiting for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineering Technician Apprentice’s to work alongside our highly skilled and motivated site NDT team based at Hinkley Point C. Whilst working within the team you will also be completing a Level 2 apprenticeship and studying for three PCN Level 2 Qualifications.
To ensure consideration you will have obtained a minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (grade 4 or above in the new grading system), including Maths and English. You will also need to demonstrate good eyesight (Jaeger 1), either aided or unaided.
During the 30 month apprenticeship you will demonstrate competence in this science-based profession that requires competent Engineering Technicians to inspect materials, welds, components and plant to verify their integrity without rendering them unfit for further service.
Main Responsibilities
Attend Workshops and participate in as many learning opportunities as possible. Respecting and contributing toward the Health and Safety Culture.Maintain documented evidence for use in learning portfolio.Invest time and energy into self-study to support company provided learning opportunities. During the apprenticeship, you will become proficient in reading and interpreting CAD drawings, planning your work with the right tools, equipment and resources to complete the task. You will develop your problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills alongside following the high quality, health and safety standards in place.

The further qualifications are dependent upon the route both the candidate and the business see their career going.
