Role:
The Apprentice Engineer will be responsible for developing skills in the maintenance, and optimisation of systems that combine mechanical and electrical engineering.
Through hands-on training and mentorship, the apprentice will learn to support the:
Development
Installation
Maintenance of automated systems, robotics, and/or machinery while ensuring operational efficiency and safety
The Apprentice Engineer will be expected to work towards and complete the apprenticeship program with a focus on self-development, progression, and ownership.
At the end of the program, they should aim to be a competent maintenance engineer and be able to work well as a key part of a shift team or alone on a multitude of equipment with minimal extra support.Training:Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with your employer and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training - in year 1, in 6-week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace
Competence Training - in years 2 to 4 in company
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge - in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
