Receive hands-on training in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
Work on a diverse fleet of specialist vehicles
Learn from experienced HGV Mechanics in a modern workshop
Training:The delivery of this course takes place over 3 years and is conducted through 1-week block release every other month from start to finish. A course plan is issued on enrolment covering the whole apprenticeship duration so that dates are issued well ahead to ensure best planning for the employer and apprentice allowing maximum attendance on all dates given.
The apprentice will gain valuable workplace experience through the completion of this qualification and will achieve the Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician through City and Guilds, allowing for eligibility to apply to the relevant body as a qualified Engineering Technician.
