The apprenticeship at CTM is unlike any other. Apprentices will rotate through each of our four departments: Modern Work, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence.
In Modern Work, you will join our Helpdesk team and gain experience in user support and resolving issues along with provisioning new machines for users. There will also be an opportunity to assist in project work, which could involve migrating customers to Microsoft 365. Each day will be varied and the amount of experience you will gain will be immense.
During your time in Cybersecurity, you will learn how to protect an entire IT estate, identifying and defending against malicious activity from both within a network and the wider world.
When you join the Infrastructure team, you will find out how we install and support all the IT equipment that is behind the scenes and away from the day-to-day support of users. This will give you experience with Microsoft Windows Servers, both on-premises and within the Microsoft Azure cloud.

Assist with planned and reactive maintenance activities across Trust sites
Carry out routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipment
Identify defects and report maintenance requirements
Assist in plumbing inspections, water isolation, repairs to taps, traps and associated fittings
Support repairs to waste systems and clearing blockages
Inspect, adjust and repair doors, windows and associated fittings
Assist with glazing bead replacement and minor joinery repairs
Prepare surfaces and carry out painting and decorating works
Apply caulk and frame sealants

Your primary role will be to support groups and centre staff in our busy and dynamic water sports centre. We will aim to mentor you and develop your skills to become responsible and safety conscious enough to manage your own groups on the water independently.
You must be professional in your nature and uphold Adventure Sunderland's charitable aims and values at all times. You should be comfortable interacting with schools and youth groups.
