GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Fabricators read shop drawings, safely operate machinery to accurately cut, bend and form metal profiles, and follow work processes and performance standards to produce high-quality finished products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate machinery such as press brakes, shears or roll formers according to safety guidelines.
Read work orders, specifications, blueprints, and measurement instructions.
Set up, calibrate, and operate machinery to meet manufacturing specifications.
Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto work pieces.
Load and unload metal sheets or coils using forklift and infeed to machinery
Position, align, fit, and assemble parts per approved drawings
Verify conformance of work to specifications, using calipers, micrometer and gauges.
Maintain product quality and report defects or safety concerns.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments.
Utilize company systems and software to maintain accurate records, reports, or documentation as required.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and report mechanical failures.
Meet attendance, productivity, accuracy, quality, and performance expectations.
Maintain professionalism and contribute to a respectful workplace environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: One to two years related experience and/or training.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Understanding of metal properties and brake press machinery preferred.
Accurately read tape measurements, bend angles, tolerances and schematic drawings
Computer literacy to utilize company systems and software.
Experience with CNC or manual metal bending equipment preferred.
Well organized and attention to detail
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Follow up agreed actions and help keep project information up to date
Assist with preparing reports, presentations, spreadsheets and other programme documents
Gather and collate information from different sources to support projects and programme reporting
Support the Programme Team with monitoring project milestones and upcoming deadlines
Help maintain accurate stakeholder and project contact information
Communicate professionally with people from across MCS and, where appropriate, external stakeholders
Support workshops, events and stakeholder engagement activities, including practical arrangements and administration
Use Microsoft Office and other MCS systems to organise, record and present information effectively
Follow organisational processes for document management, data protection and information security
Support general administrative activities across the team as priorities change
Identify simple opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working
Take responsibility for completing apprenticeship learning, assessments and development activities alongside the role
You will also attend Warrington & Vale Royal College as part of your apprenticeship
Training Outcome:On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent role such as Programme Administrator, Programme Coordinator or Project Support Officer, depending on business needs and individual performance.
