Our Networks Technicians play a key role in looking after our bespoke communications networks for some of our clients that help keep our country safe. You’ll be helping to manage the support and development of global and highly complex voice and data platforms solutions, following the ITIL service operations model. We can’t tell you too much more about what it is you’ll be doing, as a lot of the work we do is highly sensitive and secure, but – in our opinion at least – it’s really exciting.
Your day-to-day work can range from troubleshooting network faults to completing customer and internal work orders, to system administration, project support and migration support. You’ll also carry out tasks to help install and commission various types of new equipment and technologies within our various bespoke platforms – it’s all in a day’s work for you.
We’ll get you trained in the use of cutting-edge technologies to remotely diagnose and support various types of platforms across a variety of different networks. The variety of technologies that we cover opens the doors to learning and developing your own personal skills portfolio, so you can become an expert in the things you like doing. You’ll learn to prioritise effectively and to solve problems, using your own initiative to get things working in the most logical and efficient manner. It’s key you avoid any network downtime and make sure you always put the customer first.

Our technical assembly apprentices learn all aspects of car assembly and gain a wide understanding of the business. The two years spent in the apprenticeship gives you all the knowledge, skills and support required to move into a role as an experienced associate.
Technical assembly is the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to become a multi-skilled technician. You need to be someone with lots of questions about how things work and have the confidence to seek out the answers.Training:Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
You will spend 2 days per week at Chichester College: one day is spent studying ‘Lean Manufacturing Theory’ and one day learning practical skills
When not in college, you will be on plant shadowing colleagues and developing your technical assembly knowledge. This is a very practical apprenticeship where you will gain lots of hands-on experience and encouraged to be an active member within a skilled team
At end of the apprenticeship, you will gain a EAL Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)

You will learn to assist a team of engineers and technicians with the production of engineering drawings and assist in the production of 3D or 2D drawings using computer software
You will learn about the preparation of simple engineering calculations and the importance of initially checking your own work
You will contribute to providing solutions to design problems and assist in meeting agreed deadlines, and support the administration of projects
You will gain industry experience by attending meetings and/or site visits/surveys with Senior Engineers or others in the design team
