Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Birmingham and is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Implementation Supervisor to join their team. If you are an experienced hands-on individual with a background in engineering, mechanically-minded, and a leader - this is the role for you!
Position Overview
As a Project Implementation Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing both civil and mechanical aspects of projects, ensuring their smooth execution and successful completion. You will be responsible for managing supplier tenders, assessments, and procurement processes, as well as supervising the relocation of equipment. This position requires close collaboration with site management, suppliers, contractors, and various departments to ensure project objectives are implemented.
Responsibilities
- Act as project lead for civil and mechanical elements, including tender processes and equipment relocation
- Manage a range of Capex projects varying from area refurbishment to mass machine installation
- Flexible/hands-on - operating forklift, cranes, MEWP
- Plan and program project steps from preliminary through to installation
- Supervise project site work, coordinating trades and activities
- Coordinate commissioning and compile operating instructions and documentation
- Maintain budget and ensure best value at all times
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and contractor control procedures
Requirements
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (essential)
- Experience managing projects from concept to completion (essential)
- Strong safety culture (essential)
- Budget control exp (desirable)
- SAP knowledge (desirable)
- PM experience - engineering background
