GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Quality Control Specialist educates WTI personnel on the proper use and application of products, providing installation training both on and off the roof. They oversee large self-performed projects from start to finish, conducting intermittent inspections and performing post-completion inspections of smaller projects. The QCS will conduct regular job site visits during the project and after project completion. The goal is to provide consistency nationwide through proper roof repairs and the application of our products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure proper execution and delivery of all WTI GS and GC self-performed roofing work. Provide a variety of technical and application training sessions in both field and shop settings. Provide hands-on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation. Attend pre-cons on large projects. Be present at job start-ups to discuss the proper execution of the scope of work. Visit the projects at specific intervals to assess the completed work and provide any direction or corrective advice. Perform a pre-final inspection to ensure that the project has a zero-punch list. Perform final inspections when needed. Pre-project field inspections and technical support, including but not limited to: Peel tests Product testing Product recommendations Proper product installations Post project completion inspection to ensure quality workmanship and proper utilization and application of materials. Product diagnostic support to ensure that WTI is kept out of trouble due to misuse of products in the situation. Conduct roof inspections, providing written reports and photo documentation. Conduct on-site safety audits to ensure all safety requirements are met and consult with the safety team as needed. Review and train on large warranty adjustment projects over ten (10) man days. All other Quality Control Inspection-related tasks or training as assigned by the manager. Travel predominantly within the assigned territory and nationally as needed, and complete and submit expense reports on a timely basis.

A Multi-Skilled Vehicle Accident Repair Technician repairs all elements of a vehicle after it has taken some type of collision damage. This will involve learning the skills required to take an accident-damaged vehicle through various stages of repair to the pre-accident condition.
These fall into three main areas of skills training:
MET-Mechanical, Electrical & Trim. Candidates will learn to remove and refit processes of all main vehicle systems, including air conditioning, vehicle alignment and Hybrid & Electric vehicle systems
Panel-repair. Candidates will learn to repair bodywork by replacing panels, filling defects and carrying out techniques such as welding, bond and riveting and correcting misalignment
Paint-surface repair. Candidates will learn how to prepare surfaces and carry out paint refinishing through the following techniques; sealing, masking, priming, application of base coat & lacquer, repairing defects and polishing
Duties will include:
Accurately and skilfully undertake all aspects of the motor vehicle body repair
Detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
Working under direct supervision at all times to achieve full competence and qualification
Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with manufacturer and British Standard industry guidelines
Any other ad hoc duties and when required

Minimum Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
Available to work 30-40 hours per week from May through August.
Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
Expect light physical activity and extended computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
Occasional visits to the production floor will require proper footwear and PPE.
Must be able to lift/move up to 15 pounds as needed.
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; noise level is typically moderate.
Students must have housing arrangements in or near Green Bay, WI for the summer, as housing allowance is not provided.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the Engineering Team to explore and optimize manufacturing methods and processes.
Gain exposure to LEAN manufacturing, ergonomics, time studies, 5S, Kaizen, and other productivity improvement methodologies.
Analyze engineering design documents, prototypes, and change orders for manufacturability.
Partner with EH&S personnel to support environmental and safety initiatives.
Assist in evaluating equipment, tooling, materials, and automation vs. manual production decisions.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement or revise manufacturing processes.
Conduct time studies, document workflows, and contribute to Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
Utilize CAD/CAM tools for design-related tasks.
Take ownership of additional responsibilities as assigned by the department manager.
