MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To undertake vocational training and perform a range of administrative and related tasks across the following work streams provided by the Organisational Development Service Unit:

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
To produce employment related correspondence and other information.
Update and maintain IT systems used by the Service.
Receive enquiries and redirect to other team members.
Collate and maintain performance data.
Support the provision of communication campaigns through creating documents, distributing information and monitoring social and other media channels.
Undertake research and collate information in relation to work or projects being undertaken by the team.
Organise events, training and other activities.
Support the review of policies, procedures and working instructions used in the Service.
To undertake administrative work in relation to the recruitment and selection of employees.
Produce management information on any aspect of the Service, including gathering comparable data from other sites.
Training:
Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard (can include Level 2 elements if required)
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of Work Based Assessment and day/block release.

What will you do this year?
In your role as Manager - Playland Attractions Maintenance, your primary accountabilities will be to:
Oversee various projects on the Playland site; inclusive of building maintenance, technical oversight of inspections, general maintenance, set-up, and teardown of over 30 rides.
Lead and co-manage direct reports consisting of full-time and casual Facilities & Maintenance staff (including Ride Technicians, and various tradespersons).
Support development of a 3-5-year strategic asset management and site maintenance plan for Playland.
Implement preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, and regularly review programs for improvement.
Maintain and update training programs and manuals for staff; ensure understanding of policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Create, document, and implement safe work procedures that adhere to OHS regulation for the safety of staff.
Ensure maintenance program for all attraction assets are in compliance with both manufacturer guidelines and Technical Safety BC requirements.
Provide strategic direction pertaining to asset management (rides, attractions, buildings, temporary event structures) and maintenance, inclusive of capital project recommendations.
Liaise with Technical Safety BC and ride safety consultants regarding ride inspections and installations; implement their directives and submit confirmation of corrective actions.
Conduct and document risk/hazard assessments and daily ride inspections to ensure guest safety on site, document and ensure completion of recommended corrective actions.
Work within set budgets and maintain established timelines for project completion.
Lead and develop a responsive and highly skilled team while fostering the PNE core values of enthusiasm, excellence and evolution; notably focusing on staff engagement, empowerment and accountability.
Perform crew talks and instill a safety culture within the team and across the site.
Administer Collective Agreement pertaining to Full-time and Casual staff with support from the People & Culture Department, including employee issues, investigations and discipline.
Act as the On Duty Maintenance Manager or Park Manager for Playland during the operating season.
May be required to respond to operational issues at any time of the day or night.
Performs other duties as required.
What else?
5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in providing leadership and managing preventative maintenance programs, mechanical or construction work, project management OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years' experience managing large teams of ticketed staff, with a proven ability to effectively engage personnel in the construction, maintenance, or engineering industries, is required.
Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate in a relevant discipline (i.e. Project Management, Construction, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Mechanical Engineering, Millwright, Occupational Health & Safety etc.); OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Red Seal Certification is considered an asset.
Sound knowledge of construction, engineering, and maintenance practices, procedures and regulations, including cost estimating, scheduling, licensing and permits/approvals.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including zoom boom, forklift, crane, scissor lift etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff and other Department Managers, external contractors, government bodies etc.; ability to provide a strong corporate representation both internally and externally.
Proven ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines with a safety-first mind-set.
Strong organization, leadership, communication, and planning skills.
Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with various computer applications particularly Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, data processing and budget tracking, purchasing and work order creation.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines while maintaining a safety-first mind-set.
Ability to function independently and manage various projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and weekdays; including early mornings and late nights as required.

This is a senior, high-impact role where you will act as the Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) across major hyperscale projects, delivering resilient, energy-efficient, and scalable mechanical systems for mission-critical data centre facilities.The RoleAs Senior Data Centre Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical SME, you will:
Lead design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for hyperscale data centres.Oversee systems such as HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, air-handling units (AHUs), fire suppression, and fuel delivery systems.Provide technical leadership, acting as the Mechanical SME, ensuring compliance with safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and operational standards.Conduct design reviews, factory witness testing, and commissioning oversight to validate critical equipment performance.Advise on redundancy, maintainability, and scalable mechanical infrastructure solutions.Act as a trusted advisor to contractors, consultants, stakeholders, and tenants across all project phases.You will be based either in or around London (UK wide also considered), Paris or Frankfurt, with travel to European Projects & campuses
Key Requirements
Extensive experience in mechanical systems for critical facilities, including data centres, semiconductors, pharmaceutical plants, or large-scale industrial environments.Expertise in HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, and fire suppression systems.Proven track record delivering and commissioning mechanical systems for complex infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of European building codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency standards.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.Flexibility to travel across European campuses
Desirable Qualifications

Providing support in coordinating all works and events affecting the carriageways and footways on all Roads.
Providing support in ensuring the organisation carries out its Network Management Duty under the Traffic Management Act 2004.
Ensuring the Streetworks register is maintained and represents a true and accurate picture of works on the highway in Lewisham.
Playing a key role in achieving aims of continuous improvement in journey times, journey time reliability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
To validate and check all permit applications and notices submitted to Lewisham’s Streetworks Register using Street Manager and Confirm.
To validate and check all geographical information on permit applications.
To check all works against Section 58 and 58A restrictions, where possible resolving conflicts.
To check all works against road designations, special events database and engineering difficulties.
To check all works against parking restrictions and ensure applicant follows appropriate process for any suspensions necessary.
Enter permit applications and notices not submitted by third parties direct to Street Manager.
To proactively assess incoming notice/permit applications and where necessary disseminate information to team members for further investigation/action.
Ensure information on all granted permits is correct before sending.
Ensure information on all permit refusals is correct before sending.
To validate and check all start works and works clear or closed notices.
To validate and check reinstatement information, ensuring data is consistent with permit.
To issue Fixed Penalty Notices, recording and collating information to endure fine is correct.
To issue S50 licences and manage associated administration and deposit refunds.
Manage the administration process to create, where required, collate, check and distribute the performance indicators required for The London Permit Scheme.
Liaise with senior officers throughout the organisation. Maintain good communications with the public, officers of other authorities, government agencies, police, utility companies, London Buses, consultants and contractors.
Attend meetings taking minutes as appropriate.
Resolve issues raised concerning the Streetworks and Permitting part of the Confirm System, raising help desk calls with the supplier or the Lewisham I.T. help desk as required.
Maintain appropriate knowledge of current standards and legislation relative to the work of the service. Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
To record and file accurately correspondence and technical documents.
To provide support on specific policy, corporate and service plan areas as assigned,
To carry out other general administration work as may be required.

Required
A good knowledge of computer systems, ideally of a Streetworks system such as Confirm and the Street Manager System.
Detailed knowledge of the London Permit Scheme.
Detailed knowledge of the current Health and Safety code and Chapter 8 of The Traffic Signs Manual.

Analytical and problem solving skills.
