As you progress through your apprenticeship, you will assist the Rookery South O&M teams with the operational priorities of a state-of-the-art modern Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) which is capable of processing up to 675,000 tonnes of residual waste per year, whilst generating and exporting electrical energy onto the National Grid.
You will develop your knowledge and skills on the ERF technical processes, operate systems using world class technology, and develop a detailed understanding of the interconnected electro-mechanical plant and a focus on plant performance, availability and reliability.Training:Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3.

Supporting the business with any IT issues / requests
Assisting with the setup / maintenance / de-commissioning of any IT hardware as required
Assisting users with the setup of telephony systems – both softphone and physical

Learning PowerShell and creating scripts for regular support requests
Training:During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning, working towards completing the Information Communication Technician standard.

Training:

A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course.
This is a predominantly work-based programme with College attendance required once a month. All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/College and within their contracted working hours.
