Year 1 is full-time residential (classroom) training at one of our training provider facilities. As a result, you may be required to work away from home Monday to Friday each week during term time (costs will be supported by Amazon), combined with short periods working at one of our operations warehouses. This will give you a thorough and detailed insight into the work of the RME team, as well as the basic skills necessary before working autonomously on our site equipment.
Years 2 and 3 will comprise block release training at one of our training provider facilities where you will study for a Foundation Degree in controls engineering, and on-the-job training in a Fulfilment Centre among our team of technicians and engineers.

Fitter - Fitters put together components and sub-assemblies that go into the aircraft on our customers’ final assembly lines. Machinist - Our Integrated Machining Facility manufactures small and large components. Materials used are Aluminium, Titanium, Steel and Composite Materials. Skills/knowledge developed will include Operating 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC Milling machine tools, Operating co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM), conventional and digital measuring equipment, Understanding processes, procedures and engineering drawings
Training:
Year 1: The majority of your first year will be working offsite at college completing your foundation training. Towards the end of the first year, you’ll complete a return to site induction followed by onsite training
Years 2 & 3: You will undertake Business Familiarisation rotation placements. During your placements, you will document work that you complete review this regularly with your GKN training advisor
Year 4: You’ll be assigned to your final department. Your practical observation assessments will be completed, alongside the underpinning knowledge questions. You’ll also complete the End Point Assessment (EPA)

You will support the residential the conveyancing teams in a wide range of administrative duties
Providing fee estimates, opening files, producing standard and ad hoc correspondence, ordering searches
Handling telephone enquiries, correspondence & emails to provide updates and information
Drafting and amending letters and legal documents
Working as part of an office team to provide an efficient and friendly service to our clients
Take guidance to proactively deal with matters, ensuring clients, estate agents and all interested parties advised of developments at all stages
Liaising with staff from other Ocean group companies
Reporting on contracts to clients
Liaising with other law firms and estate agents when involved in transactions
Develop knowledge and skills for referral of all Ocean services and ensuring an exceptional customer experience
