Our Production Apprenticeship Scheme is a 4-year program. We offer three separate Apprenticeships; descriptions of which are below. Please note, you need to be comfortable with working at height or in confined spaces as required.
Fitter - Fitters put together components and sub-assemblies that go into the aircraft on our customers’ final assembly lines. Fitters work to manufacturing and engineering instructions / drawings and will use skills including: Drilling, reaming and countersinking, Riveting and bolting, Using automated / robotic drilling equipment, Functional testing of mechanical systems
Machinist - Our Integrated Machining Facility manufactures small and large components. Materials used are Aluminum, Titanium, Steel and Composite Materials. Skills / knowledge developed will include: Operating 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC Milling machine tools, Operating co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM), conventional and digital measuring equipment, Understanding processes, procedures and engineering drawings
Fabricator - Fabricators use their skills to produce components and assemblies, including fuel, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Skills/Knowledge gained will include: Manual and automated cutting techniques, Forming and joining techniques, Fabrication of metallic components, Operating CNC forming machines, Using precision measuring equipment
Training:
Year 1: The majority of your first year will be working offsite at college completing your foundation training. Towards the end of the first year, you’ll complete a return to site induction followed by onsite training
Years 2 & 3: You will undertake Business Familiarisation rotation placements. During your placements, you will document work that you complete review this regularly with your GKN training advisor
Year 4: You’ll be assigned to your final department. Your practical observation assessments will be completed, alongside the underpinning knowledge questions. You’ll also complete the End Point Assessment (EPA)
Training Outcome:
Progression into a full-time role after completion, but this is not guaranteed
Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

Checks the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required specification.
Temporary Protection
Select and prepare consumables, materials, components and equipment.
Assessing and measuring specific items to ensure that the protective equipment manufactured to templates, aligns with the size of the item to be protected.
Operating the sewing machine to construct the protection, then installing the protection onto the equipment.
Working to standards set out to ensure quality is maintained throughout build.
Using various hand tools to manufacture protection required to protect ships assets.
Using systems of protection within high value locations of the product.
Abiding by workmanship standards and risk assessments.Training:An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.Training Outcome:Approximately 95% of apprentices choose to stay on with us. This was arranged by Charles Meisl, a salesman for Connaught Cars in Ripley, Surrey. Later in 1952, Meisl was appointed official importer through Colborne Garages.
In 1954, AFN Ltd signed an agreement to import Porsche cars to the UK, which it also sold from its premises on London Road in Isleworth, Middlesex. Two years later, AFN became the UK concessionaire of Porsche until 1965 when Porsche Cars Great Britain Limited was formed. A move which successfully separated the importing functions from the sale functions.
Porsche Cars Great Britain Limited is the sole UK and Ireland importer of Porsche cars and is wholly owned by Porsche AG in Stuttgart. The UK and Ireland are the fourth largest market for Porsche in the world. Porsche has been in Reading since 1977, and in its current location at Calcot since 1985.
Located adjacent to the M4, the current site covers nine acres and is totally unique. Accommodating approximately 100 employees, the Reading office was designed to reflect the corporate identity of Porsche. A full workshop is integral to the building as well as a glass covered atrium where the current and historic models are regularly displayed.

Day-to-day tasks will always vary, but will normally include but not be limited to:

Observing and assisting technicians
Car technicians will be expected to see whether components and systems are secure and working proper
The car technicians' jobs fall into three categories:
Servicing - working to manufacturer servicing guidelines to ensure the vehicle is running at optimum performance
Maintenance - replacing parts that have wear and tear before they fail
Repair - diagnosing the reason for vehicle failure and fixing the problem

Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Apprenticeship Standard
Not only will apprentices be working and be trained within the garage, they will attend a Kia-approved college to work towards - achieving their Level 2 Autocare and Level 3 Standard in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
A skills coach will visit at least every 28 days as part of a close support network to ensure that apprentices are both enjoying and succeeding in their course
Functional skills in English and maths if required
An Apprentice’s training includes:
Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Apprenticeship Standard
Vocational-related qualification (Technical Certificate)
Electric Vehicle Training
Before the Standard is met, all apprentices must hold a certificate that meets the EU’s 2014 F-gas regulation.

Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Answering telephone calls from tenants about repairs and maintenance and advising on who can assist and assisting tenants using the customer portal ‘Grosvenor Connect’
Raise Works Orders (check in/out) for ad hoc repairs and maintenance through Planon/Elogbook system, as well as inputting all asset data and ensuring PPM’s are set up
Audit Gas/Electrical (Compliance) Certificates (Ensure WO raised, check dates, Address’s, follow up on remedial works)
Record future Retrofitting strategy with Property/Project Manager as part of our wider sustainability business goals
Review Roof and Gutter reports on properties and assist the Property Manager with any necessary action points
Record utility meter readings and location of meters on property maintenance system Planon/Elog books
Carry out Pre-tenancy checks/inspections of market let properties as and when instructed by the Property Manager
Demonstrate to tenants how to use various appliances/heating system in their properties and ensure that up to date manuals are in properties
Assist the Property Manager in raising insurance claims/reporting on property management system and liaising with colleagues from Realty Insurance when required
Arrange access to properties with tenants when required for Fire door inspection/Water tanks/Roof & Gutter/Drainage PPM’s
Collecting unwanted/unclaimed post from market let properties and arrange ‘return to sender’ or dispose of junk mail
Assist in transferring documents onto the new CAFM system
To identify data that is incomplete or has been input inaccurately by tenants
Training:
All work and studying will be done at work, with Study hours included throughout the week to help you work towards your qualification

The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tendering Coordinator to join Fugro in Aberdeen, working within the Commercial team.
Working as an important part of the team and as part of the regional MSC commercial team, you will primarily be responsible for providing information management and organisational support to enhance the effectiveness of the commercial team members.
As part of the commercial team you will be supporting the commercial managers who are tendering for a variety of projects including offshore renewables, offshore power cables, offshore oil and gas and civil engineering projects as well as assisting other service lines requiring either geophysical or geotechnical service line input.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting the proposal leads in preparing pre-qualification questionnaires, support the proposal leads with assisting in the creation, compilation and QA/QC of commercial documents, arranging and supporting in approval and negotiation meetings, maintaining supplier information and supply chain management accounts and keeping the commercial documents updated and archived in our systems.
