This will include helping to introduce a new IT ticketing system, learning how support requests are logged and managed, and understanding how Service Level Agreements (SLAs) help measure response and resolution times. You'll work alongside experienced members of the Transport Team, learning how a commercial vehicle fleet is actually run behind the scenes.
Day to day, you'll get hands-on with the trucks and haulage side of the business - helping plan maintenance and MOTs for HGVs, understanding how vehicles are kept safe and roadworthy, and learning how driver hours, tachographs, and paperwork all keep the fleet legally on the road.
You'll also start to understand how loads are planned, how routes and driver schedules come together, and what it takes to keep a haulage operation running smoothly and compliantly.
You don't need any experience - that's what the apprenticeship is for.
