Customer Service Apprentice
We are looking for an organised individual with a flexible approach to work, a willingness to learn and develop, with the ability to work at times without supervision. You should have strong numeracy skills, together with excellent customer service skills. Working as a member of the Reception Team, the main purpose of the role will be: To be the first point of contact for all visitors to the College To work as a member of the Reception Team and to assist in providing prospective students with the most appropriate information To undertake Reception duties, taking and receiving phone calls, provide clerical support including data input, cash handling and dealing with mail and parcels Ensure that visitors receive a professional and efficient welcome on behalf of the College. We have a variety of students requiring support, with both physical and non-physical needs. Experience of having supported children and young people previously would be an advantage, but is not essential. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of how children and young people can learn and develop and will be able to work confidently with them and other adults in our Catholic college. Candidates must be able to use their own initiative and be able to communicate confidently and effectively with children, staff and parents. All candidates must have the ability to work within and apply all school policies, and it would be advantageous to have some knowledge of the SEN code of Practice. The successful candidate’s role would be to support in class, across a range of curriculum lessons, working 1:1 with students with an EHCP where necessary and leading small groups and interventions under the instruction of staff. They will be involved in assisting with our Games Club for students requiring a nurturing environment at unstructured times and assisting with/leading after-college intervention groups for literacy, numeracy and independent living skills. Work closely with warehouse supervisor to ensure all deliveries are picked and ready to despatch. Create delivery paperwork for outbound deliveries and forward all completed paperwork to customers. Maintain customer stock reports and feedback daily to the customers that require the information. Log all customer inbound and outbound stock onto Excel spreadsheets and ensure correct rates are allocated. Raise customer invoices weekly/monthly using SAGE system and send out vis email. Create and maintain stock descriptions in warehouse operating system VIGO. Create weekly warehouse KPI reports and circulate to senior management team. Book all subcontractor collections for UK and European loads for customers and provide POD confirmations. Control of site paperwork, ensuring it is logged by customer and archived regularly.
