The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Service, maintain and repair construction plant machinery at customer sites.
- Attend machine breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Use electronic diagnostic equipment to identify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Complete digital job sheets, service reports and timesheets accurately.
- Order parts efficiently and liaise with the parts department to minimise equipment downtime.
- Work closely with the Service Supervisor to deliver exceptional customer support.
- Assist with the training and mentoring of apprentice engineers.
- Carry out workshop-based repairs when required.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and in line with manufacturer specifications and health & safety standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent in:
- Construction Plant Maintenance
- Heavy Vehicle (HGV)
- Light Vehicle
- Agricultural Engineering
- Or a similar mechanical engineering discipline
- Experience working on construction plant, heavy equipment or similar machinery.
- Strong knowledge of:

Key Duties:
Assist in the provision of Pharmacy Aseptic Services, under direct supervision. This will include:
Assisting in the assembly of the ingredients and equipment for product production, prepare labels and complete any documentation prior to the aseptic reconstitution process.
Participating in the reconstitution and preparation of medicinal products.
Cleaning of the aseptic suite including sterile and non-sterile areas in accordance to the cleaning procedures.
Providing agreed supportive clerical duties to assist pharmacy technicians and pharmacists within the suites.
Assisting in the recording and maintenance of documentation which may include photocopying and filing.
Participate in monitoring and recording activities such as pressure data, storage temperatures and handling agar plates as is required within the suites.
Performing in-process checks of aseptically prepared products.
Using the trust based electronic ordering system to support stock supplies of consumable items for the aseptic unit.
Participate in the provision of reception duties within the Department this will include:
Greeting Outpatients, hospital staff and visitors to the department.
Overcoming any communication difficulties that patients may have in an appropriate and sensitive manner.
Logging work in.
Collecting workload data.
Training:You will undertake a Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship with an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' training provider, CSR Scientific Training, which will include:
Fully recognised apprenticeship qualification - Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician.
On-the-job competency training.
Theoretical knowledge - BTEC Level 3 Applied Science (if required).
