You will be required to attend Newbury College one day a week during Term Time for a mix of theory and practical classes as well as completing the required Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in the workplace. We’re supporting a pioneering company in the scientific tech space looking for someone to shape the next generation of lab instruments.
This is not a standard software role. You’ll work closely with product teams to translate complex requirements into C#/.NET solutions that control real-world hardware. Expect a mix of hands-on development and system-level thinking — with a strong focus on requirements engineering and product definition.
You should bring experience in software-hardware integration, excellent analytical skills, and ideally a background in scientific, industrial, or mechatronic systems.
Fluency in German is essential.
This role is ideal for a software engineer with a product mindset, especially those who’ve worked on instruments, automation systems, or industrial R&D tools.
