At Spirol Industries, the Quality Technician Apprentice will receive full training to identify quality trends and issues which require management attention and submit analysis/reports to management for action. This role will conduct both the process audit (control plan) and product audits.
You will be carrying out inspections and measurements of parts, the role requires carrying out quality control and quality assurance - so you will not be fixing machines or manufacturing parts. This is more of an office based-role, carrying out checks on manufactured components.
You will assist in the coordination and conducting of capability studies in production, gathering the study information and compiling a final report with comments. Reports are submitted to the Quality Engineer for review and determination of additional actions.
As well as this you will:

Service Technicians/Mechanics service and repair light vehicles such as cars up to 3.5 tonnes. Service Technicians/Mechanics are trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.
The duties of a Service Technician/Mechanic may include:
Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturers’ guidelines
Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components
Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs
Producing time estimates
Maintaining repair and service records
Please note, the Service Technician/Mechanic role varies slightly by employer based upon the specific needs within the location.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance on machinery to ensure everything runs efficiently and safely
Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical faults, minimising downtime and ensuring production targets are met.Installation: Assist in installing new equipment and ensuring it is set up correctly and operates efficiently
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in production equipment quickly to prevent disruptions
Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others
Learning & Development: Take part in training and development opportunities, gaining new skills and knowledge to support your role and career growth

Determining heating and cooling loads and selecting and balancing appropriate components and systems for maximum performance and efficiency
Using system operating parameters for efficient performance to achieve measurable and sustained reductions in carbon emissions
Routine and reactive service and maintenance, testing, fault finding, reporting and rectification
Retrofitting and retro filling of existing equipment to lower
GWP refrigerants including safety, reliability and environmental considerations

Training will be at Humber Energy Skills Training Academy, where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer

You will undertake the Level 3 Refrigeration, Air conditioning and heat pump engineering technician standard
