As a Stairlift Engineer, you will be carrying out the installation, servicing, and repair of stairlifts and similar mobility equipment in domestic and commercial settings.
The role is London-based, with daily starts and return to Brentford.

* Experienced in installing and repairing stairlifts and ceiling track hoists, and ideally through-floor lifts and step lifts as well.
* Proven mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally within mobility or similar industries
* NVQ Level 2 or higher in stairlift/lift installation or maintenance (or equivalent) is preferred
* Ability to interpret technical diagrams and resolve issues on-site
* Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
* Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS/CRB check

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a Level 3 Print Technician apprenticeship standard, specialising in the Pre-Press pathway.

Responding to breakdown calls
Carrying out minor repairs and equipment upgrades
Actively support initiative to reduce the number of customer Call Back Service requests through improvements in equipment reliability
Support improvement and efficiency initiatives for the service department and wider organisation
Complete all site visit reports in a timely manner
Any other reasonable duties as instructed by the Service Operations team
Attend College, study and qualify with the following qualifications:Refrigeration Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Engineering TechnicianCity & Guilds 6090-30 & F-Gas 2079 (Cat1).Training:
This programme is delivered via a block release delivery model, your attendance is required at our Construction Campus (NG17)
This attendance is required during term time only
You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession
You will experience a blended learning model
Training Outcome:The role is mobile field based and is critical to the smooth operation of the service team.

Training:Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a Level 3 Print Technician Apprenticeship Standard (post-press pathway) The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship. Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both your employer and BPIF Training. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business's needs. Most training and studying will be site-based.Training Outcome:After the successful completion of this apprenticeship, a possible full-time position will be available for the right candidate.
