We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our client's well-established manufacturing team in Leicester.
In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for developing and managing sales of their subcontract sheet metal services. Youll play a key role in both maintaining existing customer relationships and driving new business growth.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in engineering and a flair for sales to join a well-established manufacturer and progress in a technically engaging, commercially driven role.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Sales Engineer
- Develop new business opportunities through lead generation and outreach
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, managing accounts and ongoing orders
- Interpret and process engineering drawings for quotation and order entry
- Visiting customers in the Midlands and UK-wide
- Coordinate with internal teams to manage order progress and resolve production queries
- Handle delivery scheduling and updates with clients
- Work closely with estimators, production, and subcontract draughtsmen
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director
Key Candidate Requirements: Technical Sales Engineer
- Time-served experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience in a technical sales role or similar
- Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing (e.g., laser cutting, punching, folding, welding)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Competent with technical drawings and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business software
Salary/Package: Technical Sales Engineer

As an Electrical Technician, you will be part of a multi-skilled maintenance team that works together as a flexible and professional unit. You will be required to assist with both breakdown and preventative maintenance across the site safely and professionally.
Electrical Technician duties include:
- Adhere to all safety rules and requirements at all times.
- Carry out routine daily preventative maintenance checks.
- Work alongside the Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians and Operators, reporting findings to your Departmental Team Leader.
- Take responsibility for any specific area as required to understand its operation and fully understand the maintenance requirements and safe systems of work for that area.
- Ensure that all tasks are accompanied by the relevant supporting documentation (work orders, risk assessments etc.).
- Carry out all non-planned and planned maintenance tasks promptly.
- Be a front-line point of communication for Production Team Leaders, Shift Technicians and Operators during maintenance activities.
- Be actively involved in projects of improvement, extension or modification of equipment to optimise efficiency, reliability and safety.
What we are looking for:
- HND/HNC or similar Electrical Engineering (Essential)
- Previous experience in heavy industry and an understanding of 3-phase control systems
- Knowledge of PLC fault-finding
- Knowledge of Isolation Procedures
- Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Mechanical systems
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
- Attention to detail with the ability to analyse problems and action solutions.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to self-organise, prioritise work and adhere to deadlines.

You'll have basic cooking skills with the desire to learn and pick up new ones. You'll have a good working attitude and enjoy the buzz of working in a busy kitchen environment.

What you get from your apprenticeship: The programme will last for 12 - 15 months enabling you to develop through a structured training programme. You'll gain a nationally recognised Standard giving you an ideal grounding for a career in hospitality.

Option to attend Chef Academy masterclasses at central venues - digging deeper into culinary skills around meat, poultry, vegetarian, vegan, fish, and shellfish dishes which take place 6 times a year
