You’ll spend most of your time working alongside experienced colleagues, learning relevant and valuable skills, contributing to exciting projects whilst being exposed to cutting-edge technology and see first-hand how first-class organisations operate systems. For the remainder of your time, you’ll follow an established apprenticeship programme, graduating after three years with a Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions.
Apprentices work in all parts of the Technology organisation in roles ranging from business analysis, data science, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, system security, and technology operations. Starting in January 2025 you will join a co-hort of learners at our Inspiring Learning site in North Devon. We offer a unique, immersive learning experience designed to equip you with the practical skills and knowledge you will need to succeed in the fast-paced world of professional cooking.
You'll benefit from a combination of intensive block delivery sessions in a state-of-the-art community kitchen and real-world on-the-job training with a local employer in the North Devon area.
Whether creating culinary masterpieces or simply enjoying the art of cooking, our academy offers a comprehensive curriculum developed by industry experts to kickstart your journey towards a rewarding career.
What will you do as a Production chef?
You'll work as part of a team in time-bound and often challenging kitchen environments, for example; schools, hospitals, the Armed Forces, care homes and high street casual dining or pub kitchens.
You may be working with centrally developed standardised recipes and menus, producing food often in high volumes.
Important skills in the role are having highly methodical organisational skills, energy, accuracy, attention to detail and being mindful of the importance of sustainability and protecting the environment.
Training:You'll initially undertake a 3 week block programme at our Inspiring Learning North Devon site, learning from our Industry Specialists.
Along with joining the new Chef Academy, you will complete your 12 month apprenticeship.
You will benefit from 1-2-1 teaching and observations during that period. A training specialist will coach, teach, and support the apprentice at the workplace on a one-to-one basis, visiting at regular and agreed intervals. Face-to-face teaching as a group; Block delivery throughout the year with other apprentices in the area.
Tutorials; Apprentices will be offered regular 1-2-1 tutorial time remotely with their specialist trainer. E-learning; We provide an e-learning platform with work and activities for apprentices to complete

Feedback sessions to discuss progress.

Ideally you will have experience working in the construction sector in a hands-on role e.g., Plant Operative, Recycling Operative, Site Worker, Yardman, Labourer.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, responsible and have excellent inter-personal skills.
Flexibility and initiative are essential for this demanding and rewarding position.
A good level of physical fitness.
A basic understanding of batching systems would be desirable.
Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Production Coordinator supplies and tracks raw materials and packaging needs to all production areas as well as removes and warehouses finished goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform work in a safe manner while following all safety rules. Maintain accurate inventory for raw materials. Complete and maintain accurate paperwork with minimal errors. Record and distribute raw materials to lines including tracking weights for all runs and die trials.
